Wenger SA1537 Black Laptop Computer Backpack - Fits Most 15 Inch Laptops and Tablets

I switched to this backpack from a Patagonia Half-mass messenger bag. The Half-mass is an excellent messenger bag that I'd highly recommend, but I outgrew its capacity. I carry a 15-inch laptop, a large notebook, a power-cord, an iPad, a keyboard for the iPad, and a variety of chargers, pens, earphones, an umbrella, etc. on a daily basis. This backpack handles all my stuff very well. I definitely recommend it.I use it as a commuter bag riding a city bus, and it it perfect for the job. I don't travel light (e.g. carrying the iPad and the laptop at the same time), but I don't like making too many choices what to leave home and what to take. I like to have everything I might need while at work and school in one place. The multiple different pockets are great for organizing my life on the go. The bag has enough space for everything I need. There are enough different places to put things that they don't get all jumbled together. I know exactly where to go for everything I might need.I've been using it every day for a couple of months now, and there haven't been any problems. The build quality is excellent. It's comfortable to carry a larger laptop. The padded laptop sleeve keeps it right next to my back and shoulders, so I don't feel the weight as much as I did in the messenger bag.The pocket for a cellphone or a media player that others have said is missing is present, but it's not very good. There's just a little mesh pouch on the right shoulder strap. It doesn't fit an iPhone very well, so I don't use it. It's there, but it's not protected for rain or snow like you would expect for a place to put your phone or iPod.I haven't used the lumbar pocket so I can't speak to its usefulness.

I used this bag for a few purposes. It has been my daily bag for at least 2 years now. I used it as a school bag and I take it with me to work. It is very useful while traveling. Fits my 15" in the laptop slot and the mesh in front of the laptop divider fits my Nexus 7 with a case on it. Nice organizational compartments. I took it with me on planes and busses many many times. Holding on really well. Haven't noticed any areas of failure so far. If and when it breaks (I truly put backpacks through their paces and use them more than the majority of the people would ever use), I'll definitely buy Wenger again. Not sure if I'll go for the same model but this one does look great (say compared to Wenger SmartScan).

This pack had some awesome features like the hidden pocket on the back pad! Many usable pockets and tons of room for gear. Sadly I did not find the shoulder straps comfortable at all, too wide and dug into shoulder blades. I also like the option of a small hip belt for those heavy gear days. I so wanted to like this pack, its a very nice style and just having all the different sections, I was not using as a laptop bag, I was using for gear, hikes and small get home bag. Maybe better as a laptop bag only. I have a ton of different pack from Gregory, Kelty, Deuter, Ospry and others. I just couldn't get the shoulder straps to not dig into my blades, so bummed. If they are comfortable for you, you will love this pack, if organization and lots of storage is what your looking for. The company has changed hands and has different contact info for service, as I contacted about missing mp3 pocket and port for headphone wires, they stated they removed those features but didn't bother to change product tags, (cost too much money of course) so you don't get those features. The grab handle is super tough and hangs no problem with a load in bag, some may have gotten duds but mine was well made and manufactured, if you get a crap one just send it back and get another. It's well worth the price for what you get even though I think the price should be adjusted for the missing features removed by company buy still advertises them on products. Also the size, this is the small model for most 15" laptops there is also a larger model but does not have the same pockets or design as this one. One thing to remember when purchasing laptop bags or packs not all 15" or whatever sizes are all the same, some maybe wide screen models some not, it's best to measure your laptop first then inquire about laptop sleeve size. Instead of measuring on the diagonal measure normally across and from top to bottom then look at laptop sleeve size to see if it will fit, it's worked for me every time. The backpack is great! It's replacing a SwissGear backpack that's about 5+ years old and it allows for better organization. I'm in IT and I'm carrying just about everything (MacBook Pro, power adapter, backup external hard drive, etc) I was before but it's more compact than the one it replaced and it appears to be offering equal protection of my MBP. I like the zippers much better than my previous backpack. They use a plastic piece connected to the metal zipper with a piece of cord making the metal zipper much less likely to hit a painted surface. It matters for me because I don't have to worry as much about possibly scratching the paint on my Harley. This is a great backpack and I'm very happy with it. The quality is what I expected from Wenger and the service from Amazon is top notch.The only problem I've experienced was the cord that draws the pocket (as shown in the picture) on the left side closed broke away from its anchor point the first time I used it. Amazon sent a replacement to me immediately along with a pre-paid shipping label for me to return the original. It appears to have been a minor defect but that kind of stuff happens. Considering how great Amazon was on replacing it for me, I still gave it five stars.

Was my favorite backpack for school. Lost it. Very sad. Will get another someday soon. Best back pack I have wver owned to this day.

Wrong description by seller stating "17" inch bag however manufacturers label says fits most of the "15" inch laptops. However I have tried my "17" inch laptop with dimensions of 41.5 x 28.5 x 6.0 cm and it just fits. Able to close it in particular way. Otherwise good quality. Still I think overpriced cause of brand.

Excellent backpack, many pockets, quality is very good. You can keep laptop, pendrives, hard drives, mouse, water bottle, cord for laptop & one two pairs of clothes.
