A very decent radio for the money I use it with my work radios the retevis rt24 and they work perfectly together. Very good for the money and got it in the sale so even better

The RT648 is the PMR446 version of the FRS (US) RT48. As usual from Retevis, this is a solid bit of kit. It's not without it's niggles though so here are a list of the pros and cons.PROS:• Great price & value for money for an IP67 radio• Genuinely waterproof. I tested it for 30 minutes underwater. I wouldn't recommend this but it's good to know!• It floats (good job really)• Solid construction. Very nicely built• Clear volume and channel buttons which provide enough feedback• USB charging• Battery can be charged in the base when not attached to the device• Supports scrambling function• Very loud speaker (see cons also)• Voice announcement is off when the speaker volume is down• Large size means it's easy to operate with protective gloves onCONS:• Battery capacity is a mere 1500mAh. The battery life is fine but a unit of this size could easily contain a bigger cell• Speaker audio is a little harsh and tinny• Some may find the unit too big. It's pretty bulky but this depends what you're after• PTT physical feedback could be a little more obvious• IP67 rating means it uses a multi-pin programming cable. Yet another cable to buy (yes it's different from some other Retevis products)• Another piece of programming software to install. Why can't Retevis consolidate all of them into one (like Chirp).Yes, there are a few cons (hence the 4 stars) but really this is great value for money. If you need that extra level of ruggedness, this is not a bad radio at all.

Everything is brilliant on these apart from the build quality. Absolutely shocking build quality. The Ariel has come off. However was waterproof until then. Needs to have a better Ariel.

It couldn’t communicate with other radios so it was sent back.

Basicamente comprei este walkie-talkie para as minhas aventuras de paddle, utilizei ele 5 vezes nunca foi a água, agora já só transmite não recebe...estou desiludido

La descrizione del prodotto non dice che per usare anche la funzione VOX (per parlare senza spingere il tasto PTT) occorre programmare il dispositivo tramite un sw ed un cavetto da acquistare a parte. Quindi la funzione non è utilizzabile. Anche tutte le altre funzioni (livello di squelch, etc) possono essere programmate solo con sw e cavetto. In pratica lo puoi utilizzare solo per come è settato in fabbrica. ------Devo modificare la mia prima recensione: il cavetto mi è arrivato con pacchetto a parte dopo 3 giorni dal pacco con i Walkie Talkie (ma non so se perchè era previsto così o se per effetto della mia prima recensione !!! la descrizione del prodotto mi sembra che non faccia riferimento alla inclusione del cavetto, che sul sito è quotato con prezzo a parte ). Ad ogni modo il cavetto più il sw consentono effettivamente di attivare la funzione VOX e le altre funzioni opzionali. Resta il fatto che il manuale è carente nello spiegare bene alcuni settaggi, che ho potuto concludere solo chiedendo informazioni al supporto Retevis, abbastanza pronto nel rispondere , ma con evidenti difficoltà nell'inglese ! In conclusione prodotto buono, ma possono migliorare sulla informazione del prodotto e sul manuale.

Die Technik ist mir seit Jahren bekannt. Den deutlichen Abzug gibt es, da ich Neuware bestelle und gebrauchte Ware erhalten habe. Das wird wohl auch dem geschuldet sein, dass das erste Paket verloren gegangen ist und ich eine Ersatzlieferung bekommen habe.
