Motorcraft YB3105 Air Conditioning Compressor Clutch Hub

I was driving my Mustang and when I switched on the AC for the first time of the season, I heard a POP and the engine stalled while driving 30 MPH. I restarted the engine in neutral and switched the ac back on. Man that thing was squealing like a pig! I thought the compressor was locked up. You could smell the belt burning. Naturally, I thought the worst and figured repairs were gonna cost me. I then watched a video from my favorite Ford guy; FordTechMakuloco, and he showed that it's common for this part to separate. I checked, as he showed how, and sure enough, this is the part I needed. Super easy install, just remove the bolt holding this on the clutch and bolt the new one on. Done.The POP sound was this part breaking, the squealing was this part rubbing on itself, and the belt burning I smelled was also this part rubbing on itself. There was no wear or burning of the belt.

This YB3105 hub worked on a my 2013 E250 with a 4.6L engine. The compressor is original FoMoCo F18.

Air Conditioning stopped working on our 2012 Ford Econoline E250, and we figured out it was the clutch face. New compressor was a lot more money, and I didn't want to resort to a used one at this time. Did some research that indicated this was the appropriate part, and it was indeed a match, fit perfectly, and works great! Came in original genuine Motorcraft packaging too. Very happy with the this part.

Took care of my A/C chirp in my 2011 Crown Victoria. Works like the factory part because it is the factory part. It does not come with shims, so use your old ones. Be sure to measure your gap. I did not use all the shims that were used for the original clutch.

Seemed well built. Took 10 minutes to install and test. Very satisfied.

Direct fit. Used the old shims and it worked great. Motorcraft parts always fit better then other products.

Correct Part but failed one month Later. Checked the compressor and it spins freely. Not sure what happened.
