New Cutey Honey Complete OVA Series

Another high quality Discotek release, blown away by all their releases, every one has been a treasure, including this release. Beautiful sound and picture. My only complaint is I wish Discotek would reissue older releases such as Dancouga, Baxinger, Juspion, and Braiger! Please Discotek some of us miss out because they sell out so fast!!

Loved watching these when I was kid along with other 80s and 90s anime. So happy they released this remastered. Fun, funny, raunchy and chalked full of hand drawn animations and detaild backgrounds. Pure anime gold. For those that liked Dominion Tank Police, Metal Skin Panic, or Dirty Pair, I can recommend this series.

The OVA of Go Nagai's "Cutey Honey" is out and it's still a show I enjoy! Granted, this isn't for young viewers or even pre-teens due to scenes of Honey transforming in the buff for a few seconds so this isn't for little kids! OVA is 8 episodes which follow Honey Katsuragi, Cutey Honey the Lovely Warrior as she fights the forces of darkness known as Panthazora. She is accompanied by a family of misfits, a grandfather who seems to be a cyborg, a teenager who lacks confidence but has genuine feelings for Honey and his two would be Bonny and Clyde parents who are actually rather noble. This is as good as I remember and the extras are something to behold with music videos and trailers of the series. If you want some good animation or just some fan service, this is for you. The dub is good in my opinion though gets iffy with the yelling or random bad words but, again this was the 90's of dubbing. Say it with me, HONEY FLASH!! And enjoy!

I grew up in the '80's and '90's so when I saw that they were re- releasing this classic, I had to get my hands on it. I originally had them on VHS released by AD Vision and I was never able to get my hands on the last volume so when this included the last couple of episodes( in English dub no-less) I had to purchase it.

I am glad I found this on blu-ray as it is one of my favorite series when I bought it back when it was on vhs n the DVD's back in the late 90's. I'm also glad its got both English and Japanese languages and what I like best is of course, its uncensored...haha!😉

This is one of the many great introductions into classic Japanese anime.

After watching this 8 episode OVA I will say this is a great series and great follow up to the original series and is worth owning to anyones collection.

Another great Discotek release. This is the 90s sequel to the 70s show. A fun blend of camp 70s Go Nagai action with early 90s anime visuals. You don’t need to have seen the original to enjoy this. I’d recommend Re:Cutie Honey over this but it’s by a slim margin. Please note this is a R1 release, so you’ll need a player that will play R1 discs.
