UPDATE:So I went on my first trip which was very short, just a few days. My flight went coast to coast and the bag was performing as I expected. I was looking forward to being able to lock up my bag at the hotel and the office when away from my things. I was shocked to find that the lock combination no longer worked upon arrival and all of my things were locked inside. I was in panic mode as my work laptop, electronics, etc. were all inside and inaccessible! I had used the lock throughout the travel to my destination and the combination was not changed mid-stride so I was perplexed when it simply wouldn't open, as though it had a mind of its own. When I got to the hotel, I desperately tried the combination over and over again without success. I was in full panic mode at this point. As I looked closely at the locking mechanism, I discovered that pulling on the latch created a slight gap, but not wide enough to fully disengage the zippers. I applied a little pressure and was able to remove the zippers WITHOUT unlocking my bag and WITHOUT damaging the bag either. The good news was that I was able to access the contents after much stress but the lock no longer works as I cannot open the mechanism and lock my things in without having to "hack" into the bag. This got me further concerned that someone could actually get into my bag without me knowing since the zipper can be re-secured by simply providing force on the zipper in the opposite fashion. I am returning this bag as it does not secure my gear the way intended. I would rather by a TSA lock and attach it to my zipper. As a point of order, I didn't rate this one star because the bag worked great otherwise and OUTJOY has reached out to me several times. Their customer service appears to be pretty good although they haven't really resolved my issue.ORIGINAL POST:I am not sponsored for my review and the opinions expressed are my own. There is too much "sway" out there which make me take reviews with a grain of salt. I hope that my experiences and opinions help you to make your own informed decisions.I travel by every mode so here is my opinion. To be honest, this wasn't my first choice but I decided to keep this bag and use it because I just couldn't fault any of the features. Everything worked as expected and intended but nothing is ever perfect right?!The bag has a thin plastic shell built into it. While I don't think that this will provide hard impact protection, I do think that it helps to keep the shape of the pack which minimizes others from guessing what's inside. The shell does provide some protection though which is a nice additional amount of "peace of mind."I didn't initially like the idea that the lock wasn't TSA Approved but after some thought, I wouldn't ever check this bag so why does it need to be? Furthermore, if I am in a hotel, I don't have to worry that someone with a "TSA" key would be able to get into my bag. I dropped a "Tile" in the bag so I could track it as well. Boom! Peace of mind. The Velcro that prevents the bag from opening fully is a quality hook and loop which I think will last as long as the bag with normal use, wear, and tear. The interior compartment is NOT limited in cargo space by using the Velcro as I have found with other bags of similar design. So, using the Velcro as intended, I can still use the full cargo capacity of this bag.My chief complaint is that the USB port cable juts out of a small slit and when I plug in a power bank, the device is fully exposed. My options are to either use one of the two interior pockets with the cable loose and flapping around or to lay the power bank on the base of the pack with the cable still loose and flopping around. Leaving it at the base seems the best option and prevents the cable from getting snagged by my ins and outs but it just doesn't look clean. Could have solved this by adding a zippered pocket instead. So, I liked this bag enough to keep it and it works very well as a daily commuter and a travel bag. My things are safely locked away and the pack keeps its shape. It's not a large pack but a basic load for me is my laptop, tablet, Bose Headphones, power cables, mouse, power bank, etc. You get the idea... basic commuter stuff. Under this load and on my back, the "shell" prevents things from poking the material which makes this look sleek and stealthy. Unlike other packs with the lower back "hidden" pocket, the pocket was still functional while under my basic load. It wasn't spacious by any means but I could legitimately put my travel wallet in there without issue.I hope that this review helps!

Bought this for my computer but ended up using it for something totally different
I probably buy more backpacks than my wife buys purses. Little bit different scenario though I donate most of the ones I buy to Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts that need them. Sometimes I use them for a while before I donate them sometimes I just donate them Direct. That being said this backpack I planned on keeping. I wanted to use it for a new computer I got at work but after I received it it was a bit different than I had thought which is a good thing I actually ended up deciding to use it to keep the handful of tools that I used often in my car. Before they just kind of loosely laid around. The semi-rigid backpack makes it a lot easier to dig through when you open it up and I looking for something in this would hold true for computer items or for tools like I used it for. It has a USB charging Jack and a ton of pockets. Adjustable straps obviously like most backpacks but the kicker for me was the lock. I don't worry too much about people stealing my stuff but sometimes they borrow it which can be annoying if they didn't ask and the other thing is when you have a lot of weight in the backpack sometimes they open themselves the Locking capabilities keep the zippers from being able to do thatThe good :1. It LOCKS so it won't open on its own or by people with wandering hands.2. It's pretty lightweight3. Very comfortable (straps and back are padded very well)4. Durable enough to hold toolsHas USB charging capability5. Has pockets inside and outThe bad:1. I wish I had thought of this type of bag years agoOverall this bag is a great buy for office/school/work needsDefinitely recommend it

Super awesome backpack π Awesome Customer Service π
I love this backpack. I have this obsession with backpacks and bags in general but backpacks are definitely my favorite. This one is really stylish and feels great when you have it on. I'm 6'4", 210lbs. Some bags don't fit right because I'm taller and they just kind of bounce around. This one does not. It like contours to my back. I think looks way better than my Swiss Digital one that I paid much more for too. There is plenty of room inside for all your essentials as well. There is a USB cable, which convenient for your power bank. Water resistant is good. I haven't gone in a full on rainstorm, nor would I with valuables. The lock on top is a bit tricky but it does work. I just really like the SureLock TSA locks you can get that are high quality and pretty cheap. There was instructions on how to register for the 180 day extended warranty, which I did not know existed. I easily scanned the QR code for their email and it sent an automatic email without me having to do anything. Then, I received an email from back within 24 hours asking for a bit of a information about the product and how I liked it and so on. That was it, so easy. I now have a 1 year warranty. Her name was Jenny. She was awesome and so is their customer service. I love the backpack too, did I mention that?
