Special Effects Hair Dye -Virgin Rose Pink #11

Special Effects is my brand of choice simply because most colors come out really vibrant and the vibrancy lasts quite a while when other brands fade quickly, and this color is no exception. Like most vegetable-based semi permanent dyes, the shade of this dye varies depending on what the color of the hair underneath is, as well as how you prepare the hair (shampoo it first with no conditioner for the best results!) and how long you leave the dye in. I don't mind that the color is a bit unpredictable the first time I use a color, since I love most shades of purple, pink, red, and orange. When I use the Virgin Rose color on my unbleached medium-brown hair, it has a lot of purple in it, somewhere between orchid and magenta. I always keep this color in stock, it's my go-to color.One thing to know about Special Effects dyes is that the manufacturer often can't keep up with the demand for their dyes, so you'll often find your favorite color out of stock. My advice is that if you like a particular color and see it for sale, buy it when you have the chance! Otherwise it might not be in stock when you want to use it.

For, I believe, the third time now, SFX is out of stock again. It's too bad, too, because they have such great hair dyes: highly pigmented, long-lasting, and bright bright bright! This is a lovely magenta-ish color that is very versatile straight out of the bottle, diluted with conditioner, or mixed with purples and pinks. I'll order more as soon as it is in production again.

Beautiful. Came out Pink-purple-with red. <3 Very beautiful. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes to dye their hair. If they don't like pink or purple nor red, It still works! I don't like pink/purple but I totally love this color!

Favorite hair color EVER. Starts off a pinky-purple and fades to hot pink, then pastel. I have used this without a retouch for 6 months and my hair was still pink.
