Curved Utensils Right Handed without Shields

Highly Recommended!
I am highly happy with my purchase! Having a child with special needs I purchase everything I can that is recommend by my son's therapists. That is how I came across these utensils. They are super affordable considering how expensive some adapted materials can get! They are assorted colors though, which some parents may have an issue with. I have a son and they came in purple. I personally do not care, I believe ALL children should be exposed to ALL colors not just pink/blue which this society attempts to impose. As a educator with a Child Development B.A. I have a big issue with gender bias/stereotypes/roles etc. But anyways, just heads up to other who may be color concerned. The utensils work perfectly. I wash them by hand with warm water and soap every time and before the first use. The spoon is a bit small and the fork is not very pointy but they work perfectly for children potentially 5 and under. Which would require adult supervision anyway when eating. Mine did not come with a shield as I purchased them without if you are seeking shields make sure you read the description. I also purchased the right handed ones children under 3 generally do not show a general preference yet but if one believes or is told that your child may be dominant in one purchase the recommend one. I do recommend these utensils highly! Hope everyone seeking these finds them as useful as I did.

I wish I could have picked the color I wanted. These will be used in my classroom so I need to keep eating utensils student specific. Being able to specify a color would have been nice. Otherwise it was a pleasure doing business with seller!

These didn't work for me. They are very lightweight and I fiundcrhe built up handles to be too short. They appear to be more appropriate for a child.

These are working well
Almost 2: She especially likes to "stab" stuff with the fork. Still having a bit of trouble holding the spoon at just the right angle but the grip is very nicely sized for little hands. She likes this set a lot.I only wish they had put a small indentation for a thumb on the handle to keep the spoon and fork from spinning in the hand. I think my almost 2 yr. old would be able to figure out what the indentation was for and benefit from it.

They are sturdy, but a bit too heavy for my 2 very weak sons who have SMA. Also, the fork is dull so it doesn't actually fork into the food.

Great way to start self-feeding (with a child who has feeding issues).
We purchased this for our son who has texture issues with food and it has caused to have delays in feeding himself. Having the curved spoon and folk just make it easier for him in feeding himself by making it simpler for him to get it to his mouth without having to twist his wrist. This may seem a little weird but it avoids the frustration that can occur early on when children start to feed themselves. Definitely great for our son but it was recommended to get by his therapist, so you mileage may vary if you haven't been recommended to get this for your child :)
