FitFlop Women's Walkstar III Nubuck Thong Sandal

4/5/2015 Update to 5 stars! Ordering 2 more pair today! LOVE these for around the house and outside! Strap broke in really nice and comfortably! Perfect!I would have given 5/5 stars but the top strap is way too TIGHT and they have to be broke in longer!I was thrilled to find these because I have been looking for Sketchers Tone Ups flip-flops for about 4 years now and these are very comparable (see ending). The pair I have are about to break and I wear them every day during the summer and spring (weather permitting)! They were so comfortable and supportive and wide enough that I was able to wear them every day all day and night without foot pain.I have flat feet and arch support can be very painful. These are not painful (after you break in the tight strap). I feel my feet doing their own little arch when I wear these. I stand a lot and I’m on my feet all the time. I’m a klutz too and lose balance all the time but these are not too high, they’re wide enough and have a solid foundation.The color I ordered was Mazarine Blue and the sole is blue too! My favorite color is blue so I love the color!! BUT the strap over the top of the foot is TIGHT! They are so tight, I have a hard time getting my foot all the way in and my toes struggle to straddle the thong! If I don’t force it, the thong part rubs my toes and hurts. So at first (right now) I have to keep forcing my toes to stay past the little ridge on the sole then they straddle the thong-with work. They will stretch out with wear. I also put them in the drier for about 10 minutes (a few times) to help stretch out the upper strap. They are starting to stretch a little now after about 1½ days. The little ridges on the sole don’t bother me at all.I used the size chart and I measured at 9¾”, which is an 8.5 but no ½ sizes were available. I ordered the size 9 and it’s a great match! I was an 8 with the Sketchers but a 9 with FitFlop.I’m not sure why some are more expensive than others. There is no compare option to compare the FitFlops and they all look like there’re the same.In General:• Break them in for a while before constant wearing.• They are comfortable once they are stretched out.• They are not that high and are very solid, sturdy and keep you balanced.• If you loved Sketchers Tone-Ups (which really turned out to be awesome supportive flip-flops), then these are what you’re looking for!• No excessive flip-flop noises.• Feels like I’m walking on cushions.• Nice for house slippers (helps stretch them out too).• Great for wide feet!! <3 <3• Follow size chart, if in doubt order up in size.

Review wrote on 6/23/15: My cousin and her friends have been wearing them for years. I could never understand why they would spend close to $100 for a pair of "flipflop". I have back and ankle problems for years now, so my cousin convinced me to try this FitFlop since it was on sale for $41 + tax. I just got back from a trip to San Francisco and after all the walking I've done on those hills, I came home with a sore back, legs, and a twisted ankle. When I came home the FitFlop was waiting for me. The next day I wore it out for an hour. The first thing I notice when I put it on was that the pressure I was feeling on my ankle seems to have disappeared and I can feel myself not leaning so much on the other leg which instantly took some pressure off my lower back. As I walk with the FitFlop for the first time, it felt a bit weird since all the feeling I normally get from wearing a similar flipflop wasn't there. The sole of the FitFlop feels like it distribute the pressure evenly throughout your feet. I can tell a big difference when I got home and taken the FitFlop off for the day. We don't wear shoes inside the house, so all those uneven pressure distribution is back. From this one experience, I would recommend anyone that have a similar problem to me to try it. It might not be great for everyone, but it might help others. As summer hit SoCal I'll have more opportunity to test drive the FitFlop. If I don't forget, I'll update this status again sometime during the "SoCal Winter" and let you know how it fares over months of wearing it almost contently. One little note: I normally wear shoes size 7-7.5 and since I didn't see half sizes I went with a size 8. Size 8 fit just fine.​

These shoes are super comfortable; great with my plantar fasciitis, high arches, and fibromyalgia pain. The pink and brown combo is really cute and they are really well made. I did notice a little soreness in the back of my legs and glutes, so I know the micro wobbleboard is working, and it they are so much more stable, and comfortable, than my Reebok WalkFit shoes which have no arch support. But the best part is that they didn't make my feet tired or sore. I have a high instep and wide feet, and when I first slipped these on the vamp was too tight across the top of my foot; I almost couldn't get them on, but I followed the company's suggestion of walking 20-30 brisk steps before deciding. Thankfully the foam squished down a bit and molded to my feet, and while the top is still a bit tight it's perfect for me because flip flops usually go flying off my feet; I initially didn't even want to try a style without a heel strap, but the price was good and the colors were cute, and not super girly embellished like many others, so I gave them a shot. I've already let my mom and best friend try them on and they were both really impressed with the comfort and style. I definitely recommend these to anyone who needs a shock absorbing or comfortable and cute shoe.

I was looking for FitFlops in turquoise and these fit the bill perfectly. The color is true to the image online. As expected they are a tad snug over the instep (I have high arches) but being leather I expect that will loosen up over time. They feel wide enough and long enough, and the strap between the toes is soft and comfy, doesn't rub.

I have had several FitFlops through the years and love them. I always tell people if they have feet problems they should get them. My latest pair (3 years old ) need replacing so I bought these as they seem to be a similar style. In most shoes I am usually a 9.5, but I looked at the pair I have and they said 9, so I ordered a 9. Not only were they to small in length but width too, so even a size 10 wouldn't help there. SO disappointed. Also the Blue part of the sandal is low so if you have an arch at all I think its hard to get on (I DO NOT have high arches) Maybe the material would have loosened up with wear. Seems like a very different shoe than the one made a few years ago

This is the first flip flop which hasn't caught me on my arthritic toe joint. The design is brilliant for comfort. I managed to find one which wasn't shiny. Most Fitflops are far too shiny for my taste. It'd be good if they made some more non shiny ones in different colours. I don't know what they will be like in a hot climate - being rubbery underneath, they might sweat a bit. However so far i've found them to be a great fit and extremely comfortable. My last flip-flops lasted only a year. I hope these will last much longer cos they're not cheap!! Recommend!

I bought these in the bright blue. The soles are extremely comfortable and the quality of the leather is good. I have broad feet so I bought a half size bigger than I normally wear. They are still a little tight so I am wearing them around the house as much as possible to try to stretch them a little before I go on holiday in 4 weeks time as I know my feet will swell slightly in the heat. If it wasn't for that I would have given them 5 stars and I am sure they would be fine for most people. The price was very good so I ordered another pair in pink (so they'd better stretch) but I don't think I would have paid the full price for them as I had a pair very similar by Dunlop which cost a fraction of the price. Unfortunately those particular ones are no longer made.Update - I have just returned from 3 weeks in Kenya and I wore these most of the time. The roads and paths are uneven but these shoes were easy to walk in. In fact they were so comfortable that I wore them on my journey home - 3 flights over 24 hours and still comfortable!

I bought these for my sister but the leather nubeck is quite big and loose so these slippers dont hold the foot, making it uncomfortable to walk in. Also the size is moderately large which would have been okay if the top toe sling was snug

Best buy ever!I had damaged my feet from wearing flip-flops throughout the summer-especially on a manic sightseeing trip to Barcelona..Late break booked to Greece but knew I had to be able to walk without pain.Absolutely perfect-Pain free and stylish.Lovely colour-more taupe than white.Very pleased.Suited everything I wore. Will be buying more.Look after your feet.They need support.

My podiatrist recommended fitflops, as I have a fallen arch and achilles tendonitis. I didn't have time to break them in before going on holiday, so imagine my delight at the immediate comfort! I wore them all day, every day, on the beach, by the pool, long walks into the city centre, and trekking. The most comfortable sandals I've ever worn. I didn't suffer from any pain in my foot or leg at all. I just wish it was warmer back home, so that I could wear them all the time here.A worthwhile investment.

I love this product, so comfortable I wear them daily, as slippers all year and as flip flop in the summer.smart enough to wear to work, shopping etc practical for beach..or any where.my last pair lasted 6 years, and that wearing daily, been in the sea on holiday, walked the dog in them, they didnt fal. theyn l to bits, despite me abusing them ..in sea etc the soles became slippery after so much use they became dangerous!!!didnt hesitate in buying a new pair. cant live without them now

This is my third pair in 8 years, I am extremely happy with it, it was delivered in two days, cheaper than other website and Waitrose. I wear a UK7, good fit, I have low arch and I can imagine someone with high arch might struggle with this model. May I suggest that you try it in the shop and then buy it with this supplier. Got my first pair of fitflops last year - given to me by a friend - and just had to get some more! I have a painful toe joint and these are the only sandals I can wear without any discomfort. Would wear them all year round if I could. Only little gripe is the size. I take a 6, but the size 6 in these seems just a bit small. Got a size 7 in another style and they are a little large, so probably should have got the 6.5 size.

Was advised to buy size smaller which I did. Although when trying them on they felt correct I found that when I walked in them my foot would end up slipping back. So I ended up walking to close to the heel of the flip flop. I bought another pair in my correct size and although they felt slack on when I initially tried the. They were actually very comfortable and I wore only them on Holiday. Great

I purchased these for my holiday in NY in a few months, but have been wearing them now to get use to them. They are very comfortable and really don't need 'bedding in'. The colour is just has expected. I would recommend these to anyone who wants a comfortable summer sandal. These will definitely be a 'must have' Summer item.

As previous reviews suggest, come large so had to return usual size 5 and replace with size 4. Now perfect fitting. Love fitflops. Use them all the time as slippers. Very comfortable. Love this colour. Highly recommend.

I have been told how comfortable fit flops are so thought if spend that extra bit of money to buy one instead if one of the cheaper alternatives, I have to say I'm disappointed, the toe post is quite stiff and uncomfortable inbetween my toes and just know they will rub if worn for any amount if time.

Love Fitflops- I have about 10 pairs now & am trying to collect them in every colour?!! Would have preferred them more turquoise - these are teal really!!This design are comfy & because they are suede they are easy to get your feet into even when new.

Deeply, deeply comfy. They started off a tiny bit tight, but the leather has stretched a little and they now fit. Now I'm worried they will stretch too much! If they do I'm buying more, cus they are so comfy and easy to wear!

These fitflops fit perfectly, are a very soft suede and I really like the colour. I know I am going to get loads of wear out of these over the summer. A really good price for a great product.
