Q: What are the exact dimensions of this coin holder?

unfortunately the unit I had exploded from the heat inside the car this summer. I went into work one day, and when I got out of work 8 hours later I open the door and saw all the coins I had in the holder all over the floor and parts from the holder all over the place. It appeared the top of the holder loosened and pressure from the 3 springs inside forced it and it's contents to fly over the car. Before that point, I loved it, fit perfectly on the side by the hand brake of my 2014 Ford Escape. My old Mercury Mountaineer had coin holder built in, Ford does not offer that for the Escapes.

Q: Which US coins will fit in the three columns?

Quarters, nickels, dimes, or pennies. There's enough slop that you can use the mid-sized slot for whatever. I use two trays per vehicle: nickles in one mid sized slot, pennies in the other. I need extra capacity for quarters, anyway.

Q: Does this coin holder fit in your purse as well? Is it heavy if you completely fill it?

Of course it will fit in a purse, it's roughly half the size of a man's wallet with the thickness of a fifty-cent coin and with it full it weighs the same as a big apple I'm guessing about a pound or less.
