I was not sure what to expect with this book. I have not read anything by this author before. I love the cover, it caught my eye right away. Once I entered Annora's world, it was a great ride. I loved meeting the pack and Annora. I enjoyed all the characters very much! I looked forward in the next books to learn more about Edgar. I feel that the book left me wanting more of the pack and Annora in the end. I want to know what happens in the next book; so I had to get the next one. I can't wait to see what comes next. I think these characters would be great on TV or a movie but I think to create Annora's world would be great challenge and a lot of computer driven special effects. I think it would be as epic of a movie as Ready Player One. Is someone is Hollywood willing to take on a challenge?

So I really struggled with this one, I rounded up to 4 stars but it’s probably closer to 3. At a quick glance this book should be perfect for me, it has all my favorite things- fated mates, powerful fmc, insta love, sexy strong mmcs. But I only made it to about 65% before I stopped.The 3rd person is jarring, but if the story telling and plot is good enough I can definitely get around that. However something about the scene descriptions and physical aspect of every moment were very awkward to read. The writing didn’t flow and there were moments where I was pulled out of the story thinking “why on earth did the author describe the moment like that?”Unfortunately the plot is also lacking, there’s so many plot holes and things that are not explained. The world doesn’t make sense and it feels like a lot of scenes happen just because the authors needed an excuse to write the next plot development. I thought it was all on purpose since our fmc is new to the school and the world, but we’re not even in 1st person.I was pretty excited when I started reading this so I’m super bummed. It was about halfway that I finally pinned what was really bothering me.

The blurb for this book definitely intrigued me( who doesn't love a bada$$ female) but I can honestly say I wasn't sold just from that. Then I began reading and as a reader u know how it goes when u get so caught up in a book that one chapter turns to ten and u still can't seem to put it down. This was one of those books for me. I absolutely loved the fact that the fmc is very unique and on equal power with the men or is possibly more powerful. Not only that but I love how she still shows fear and panic instead of just being super cocky about everything. Then u have the guys. While they were all described being hot and everything I loved how it was all washboard abs and blah blah blah lol I also like how they r a rag tag group instead of being super popular. The story sucked me in from the get go and I can't wait to see how they all get her uncle!

I finished this whole book in 2 days, I couldn’t put it down. I was in a reading hangover from SJ Maas and Zodiac academy and this was the only one good enough to drag me out of the slump 10/10

Stacey Brutger has talent! I give 5 stars when its earned. The world building is intriguing and new. The plot keeps you captivated as it twists and changes. Compared to some of the books I've been reading lately (daily reader) I am thoroughly impressed. There is no insta love even though bonds are being formed quickly. You get a chance to grow with each characters relationship with others. This is not a mini porn book hiding under the RH genre. You actually get a chance to become invested in each relationship our female lead has with each of her men. Her past torture and hidden trauma are real thus making how she acts and reacts believable. I honestly like the freshness of this book. Like taking a breath of fresh air and realizing this is what academy RH should be. Even though this is academy based you don't get stuck in a classroom listening (reading lol)to some professor drone on teaching you about some shyt that's not even real in our world. I happen to like that. All in all it was a nice read. Way more mature than so many others I've read in this genre. I do question why she hasn't tried to hit the library to see if she can find books about her kind. I am downloading the next book now!

Oh my gosh, how have I missed this series for soo long. 10 out of 10, 5 🌟, shout it from the roof tops!Annora hides a big secret, one that her uncle has kept her captive, beaten and broken over for many years, whilst he sells her gift to the highest bidder.Having escaped at last, Annora is trying to keep a low profile when events take a turn and she is sent to an academy to train, in the hopes she'll be safe there. She may feel physically safer for a while however emotionally is a different kettle of smoking hot, lethal and deadly mates! Oh and she has to share a house with them.The storyline is awesome, there are shifters, witches, phantoms, even supernatural ferrets. There's pent up s3xual energy, vulnerability, immense strength, violence, inter-species issues, fated mates and much much more. I know I'm late to the party with this series, but better late than never!

This was an intense and exciting read!!! I have never read about a character like Annora before and I loved it! She was so strong and brave and compassionate. I can't wait to read more about her and the guys. Also, so much love for Edgar!!

Stacey Brutger has seriously knocked it out of the park with this one. Once again, really. If you liked her Academy of Assassins series grab a sit, get some coffee and dice right in because you’re going to freaking love this one, too.I’m just sat here trying to process everything I read and happened and all I can say is. Oh. My. God.This book was a rollercoaster of emotions, feelings, plot twists. So much happened.But most of all, I loved to see the characters, the depth she gave them. Especially the FMC. The way she developed and learned to trust and become even more of a force to be reckoned with. I cannot WAIT for the next book.

Wow, a great storyline, the hits just kept coming.Fast paced , the guys were unique and you connected with the characters easily.I can't wait to read more 🥰
