How I did it
So, I wish there were maybe some more guidance on Hemway's website on picking the right glitter, but it's kind of hard to photograph, so I'll tell you what I did and how it ended up and what I'd do differently.1. I didn't mix it with paint, I mixed it with glaze. I originally was going to use Rustoleum glitter glaze on top of a colored paint, and the paint I already bought had primer in it. I'm not sure it'd show up if I didn't use the glaze.2. I got the ultra fine mother of pearl to go over a mid-tone pink paint. It looks nice, but it's definitely not dramatic. If there's not light shining directly on the wall, you do not notice the glitter at all. It also tends to show up more green than I'd have preferred. If I had loads of time and money, I'd have done some samples with different glitter colors and sizes and probably used a larger size or I'd have matched the paint color with the glitter color, or maybe have gone with the silver, IDK. If you can, I'd maybe get a few different packs and test them out on a board with the color you want and check it out under the light of the room you're painting.3. I would use more glitter than recommended. I ended up having to do quite a few coats to get a decent coverage of glitter. In my second can of glaze, I added more glitter than the directions recommended and I was much happier.4. Don't forget to mix well! If you think it's mixed, give it a few more stirs.5. I used a small roller and rolled it in V-patterns, blending it in small sections. This got much better results than when my husband tried to roll silver Rustoleum glitter glaze in an up and down pattern (total disaster; also wasn't mixed well enough). All in all, I'm fine with the results, it's a good product, but it would be nice if the company could show some realistic photos of what their glitter looks like against different colors or with a glaze vs in a paint or just offer more design guidance. The other customer photos are great, but I think it caused me to be a bit more subtle than was really my goal since it's hard to judge when there's not a standard baseline.

Amazing
I adore this glitter. It literally is so perfect. It’s not the finest glitter I’ve ever used but it does exactly what I want. I use it by putting on the paint so it shows better. Mixing it in dulls it. This was worth every penny !

Get the buffing pads! For sure brings out a ton of glitter
The recommendation is 4 packets per gallon, but I didn't want a super glitter wall so I got 2. At first I got the nice little hints of glitter like I had in my head but then I buffed it, and it's the whole wall. I think 2-3 packets is plenty, not what I had in mind but im not mad.

Cute glitter ceiling!
Extra light glitter look! Used more than half the bag in a gallon of paint and only see the tiniest of glimmer! Use the whole bag !! Next time I will! Love it

You need 4 bags per gallon of paint
Only bought one bag for a gallon of paint for a nursery ceiling. Not enough glitter. The seller needs to state how much you will need. Plus they need to be more helpful on how the level of grit needs to be purchased. Whether you need fine or higher level. Would not buy again or suggest product to someone else. Felt like it was a waste of money & time

the effect i get on my walls
i love my sparkles in my paint on my walls and ceilings. i only wish you had a little larger cut. the craft ones are cut too large and do not work on the walls well. they are also a little expensive but i love the look.

Just what I wanted
The media could not be loaded. I had mix reviews about the glitter. But it turned out better than expected not to little not too much. I didnt not have to buff the wall. I bought the paint at home depot and took the glitter to have it mix properly. Turned out amazing . Two coat fir the wallTwo gallon paint 2.5 Oz glitters. Hopefully this help other. The lighter the paint the brighter the sparkles

Pretty but use chunky glitter for walls
The media could not be loaded. I added 2 bags of ultrafine gold/silver holographic glitter to half a galon of flat SW Impatients Petal to a concrete wall. Results: can’t see the sparkle unless the room is dark and there is a faint light from a far or direct light with flashlight. I bought the chunky to see the difference. I haven’t use it but seems a better size. Recommendation: paint the wall first and then add the glitter to paint. Once mixed, use a brush! Otherwise will look like a dirty wall when used with a roller (see pic) you’ll see the roller traces. We re-painted the wall with the remaining of the original paint and the traces are gone. Once dryed, I buffed the wall a bit and now we can see a bit of sparkle but at least no roller traces. Added 2 pictures of how it looks with my phone’s camera, one with the flash ON and one OFF. You can see the sparkle with the flash ON but almost no sparkle without the flash ( that is how it actually looks). I will try the process with the chunky glitter to see the difference. I added a video of how it looks whith the camera’s flash ON. I only wish it can be seeing without it... I gave it 3 stars because is easy to mix, glitter tone is pretty and it doesn’t fall off. hope this helps :)

Not great for wall paint
Pretty disappointed in this. I tried mixing in wall paint but it looked awful. Even after buffing and following instructions... this looked bad on walls. The sparkles didn't distribute evenly, they'd clump in spots. You have to be constantly mixing it before applying to get a better result - but it still looked bad enough that I stopped, and repainted the wall to regular paint. I wasted a lot of glitter and a quart of paint in the process.Would not recommend for a house wall. However, I didn't want to just waste the now-glittered paint, so I painted a few little mini projects. (A wooden kleenex box, a wooden lazy susan type spinner, little wooden boxes for jewelry...) and it actually turned out WAY better than the wall. Buffing it was satisfying- the glitter would just come to life. Very cool!Soooo I'd recommend not doing big wall projects with this paint..I think you'll be really disappointed. But small projects look great! (And easy to keep laying on coats of paint for extra glitter affect)
