I’m glad I still went through with the purchase because it’s amazing. Super easy to apply and build up on!! Great coverage and dries really smooth not sticky ! Hi! As you can figure, I purchased this for juggalo makeup. Application was very easy, I used a beauty blender, and a little paint goes A LONG way! These pictures include one coat, which is perfectly bright and noticeable. With setting powder, it does NOT come off when you touch it—only thing I’d recommend is applying it after changing into your planned clothes, otherwise you’ll smudge it onto the clothes lol. It survived the rain and humidity outside, along with me itching my face several times. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who wants to look for something sturdy and long-lasting.

These problems arose due to the users' ignorance, NOT because of some flaw in the product. So, as a public service, here is how to use clown white.1. Start with a freshly washed face, free of makeup, oils, and grime.2. Use two or three fingers to scoop approximately a teaspoon of clown white out of the container. Place this "blob" of makeup in the palm of the other hand, and use those same two fingers to swirl the makeup around in the palm, thus warming it. Alternatively, warm the makeup using both palms.3. Using two or three fingers (or both palms), cover the face, ears, and neck with clown white as evenly as possible. If skin tone shows through, you have used too little. If the makeup seems thick, you have used too much. Add more makeup to your palm if necessary.4. Here's the trick to creating a smooth clown white makeup: Pat your face with three fingers or the palms of your hands to even out the color. Doing so will remove streaks and blotches.5. Optional: Using a Q-Tip wet on the tongue, remove clown white from any areas that will receive red or black makeup. The mouth and (new) eyebrows are the two most common areas.6. To set the makeup and remove all stickiness, you must use powder. I recommend baby powder, which is simply pure talc. Do NOT use any powder that contains corn starch! Others may prefer to use a pure white theatrical powder, but it is more expensive. To apply, use the largest velour powder puff you can buy. Coat the puff generously with powder and apply to the makeup. You can't use too much powder! When you think you've powdered sufficiently, check for any wet spots with your fingers and powder those spots. Let the powder sit for up to five minutes, giving it time to absorb the clown white's grease. Then, brush off excess powder with the puff, a shaving brush, or a powder brush.7. Using a sable brush, apply the colored makeup in the areas you "cut out" previously. Powder as before. I’ve never used any kind of special effects/art makeup, so this was my first experience with it. My friends and I were in a production of the Addams Family as Ancestors and had fo paint our hands and face almost 20 times. The product is a little tricky to work with. I originally tried using a brush to apply it, but it skips and is extremely hard to smooth out completely. However, a wet beauty sponge worked absolute wonders! It helped the product really marry into the skin and applied it wonderfully. It was fully opaque with very little product, and had no streaks. The product is a very thick, almost waxy consistency and is very heavy on the skin, it needs generous amounts of powder in order to set matte. While the consistency may not have been the best for application, it was amazing for staying power. Our characters were dancing for almost the entire two-hour show, and even my excessive sweating did not cut through the make up. Other forms of make up applied pretty well on top of the powdered white . I was able to use eyeshadow in order to contour my face, and was even able to do normal eyeshadow on my eyes. If applying to the hands like we did, I definitely recommend using baby powder to set it, as it can work a little bit sheer and ashy on the hands. The product does also have a slight fragrance, I can’t really explain it other than make up smell, but it is not that strong and dissipates on the face. Once powdered down, the product is a little bit hard to remove. I would recommend using some form of cream or balm in order to remove it, not just make up wipes. I have pretty sensitive skin, and even with Ponds cold cream, my skin was a little bit irritated after removal. No rash or anything, but I was just a little bit red from the rubbing. Overall I think this is definitely a great product for stage make up and performers, there’s just a little bit of a curve to it.
