Just purchased the Pixel Flash card reader and I love it! The speed is incredible and it's so compact I can fold it over my laptop without obstructing the keyboard. I also love how it lights up when it is transferring data lol. Spectacular!

High quality and I love that it was made in the USA! Great and much needed transfer speed and I also love that the short USBC cord is detachable from both ends so I can use it with my hard drive too! Great product!

I liked the small form factor of this reader but it it not ready for any professional work. While transferring files off a Pixel Flash C-Fast Card (I tried three different cards and on two different computers) the reader overheats and dismounts from the computer. It works if you are only transferring a small amount of data but anything over 50GB is going to fail with this reader. I confirmed that this reader is overheating by placing a small fan across the surface of the reader while transferring data and it seemed to work well without dismounting. Keep in mind it was overheating in a cool room in the winter so unless you plan to bend over backwards for this reader, it's really only suitable as a last resort backup card reader. I purchased a SanDisk CFast reader instead which is large and metal and seems to dissipate heat much better. I haven't had any dismounting issues with the new reader.

I love this company, their cards are some of the best and this reader is perfect for on-set downloading, portable and rugged. PixelFlash is my choice for media.

I really like that the product is small, seems to be well-built, and has the removable usb c cable which makes it easy to plug in without blocking other slots. It also came packaged very safely and compactly. Transfer speeds are fast as well- all great so far!

I was not sure if this reader would work after using other cable and dongle options that failed. Finally, I was able to import photos from my DSLR to my iphone without any issues.

I'm using the 512GB CFast card with the Black Magic 6k Pro. I record a little BRAW but primarily ProRes HQ Ultra HD and this card hasn't missed a beat! Previously used SDs and a Samsung T5, but neither could keep up due to write speeds, unless I bumped down to 1080. This is a game changer for my work. UPDATE - Just received the PixelFlash Ultra slim reader as well. The reader has a non-slip texture and I especially like the detachable USB-C cable vs a hardwired alternative. Let the footage roll! BTW - the card packaging was outstanding!

It works. But it gets too hot to touch. And it's covered with that awful rubberized coating that is becoming gunky and tacky. And the card has to mount upside down. Transcend makes a device that has none of these issues.
