Exactly what I wanted; basic, nicely made, retro-style cards
I was apprehensive because I saw a lot of bad reviews about how they were misprinted or bad quality images, but those appear to be older reviews, so I figured I'd order it anyway and see how the quality was. I wanted the old, classic look of the earliest print of these cards, which does look a little oddly printed to modern eyes, but it's a good clear print of the original images, which are a bit weird looking, if that makes any sense. The cards are made of nice smooth, sturdy standard card thickness material, feels like every other non-linen finish cards I've ever handled (playing cards are often linen finish, but usually the same weight). Everything was printed perfectly, including the booklet. I think perhaps in the past this listing has been invaded by fakes, but currently I received a good deck that I'm very happy with.Note that if you want the oldest-looking, retro-style Rider Waite Smith deck, this is the one - if you're looking for the updated, more modern colored one, you want the illuminated or radiant version. I wanted one that looked like the classic old cards that look like they're from the 60s or 70s, if not earlier, so this is the deck I wanted. There are even several different prints and colorings of this "retro" style, but mine looked true to the example photos on this listing so just look closely. It's a bit on the pale side and leans yellow, but I like that look. The RWS isn't for everyone but I have always wanted this deck aesthetically, even before i decided to learn to actually read them, and many books are based on the imagery of these cards, and many people find the imagery of these cards to be the easiest to learn with because it has a lot of symbols that are easy to intuit and to stick in your memory, and having just started I find this to be true. I do have a personal connection to the imagery, but I also find you'll see images of these cards popping up everywhere, so if you're trying to learn, you may already be familiar with many of these images which can make it easier. (While often just called Rider Waite, I and many others add Smith to acknowledge the artist Pamela Colman Smith who drew the cards.)

Beautiful Classic Tarot Deck
I really love this tarot deck. The classic Rider Waite artwork is beautiful, and the cards are easy to understand, especially when learning tarot. The included instruction booklet is also very helpful for beginners. The cards feel like a great quality deck and are perfect for both learning and regular readings. Definitely a great deck to have!

lovely deck!
I absolutely adore this tarot deck. The card stock is neither too thick nor too thin; it’s perfectly balanced and easy to shuffle. The quality of the deck is impressive, and the imagery is captivating.

Happy with my purchase, helps to improve meditative thought - especially due to my scatterbrain.
This is of course the classic deck. It got me into tarot, and is still my most used deck. These cards are great, the only thing I don't like is the copyright on the white edges. I'd've preferred if my cards didn't have that white edge with the copy right, just Smith's original signature.

My older copy was better
I had the Rider-Waite tarot deck for about 15 years. The cards were well past use and it felt time to retire them. I missed the deck and bought another. The cardstock is not near as good as other decks I have. These are going to wear out quickly. But for 20 dollars I guess that's to be expected? It's still a must have for any tarot reader, if only for the history, but I wish it was a little nicer in terms of quality. I'd pay for for nicer cardstock etc.
