I know 5 stars how can anything be that good. Well it's my 1st safe and I live ...
I know, I know 5 stars how can anything be that good. Well it's my 1st safe and I live in a townhouse so having one of those 300-400lbs safes is not too feasible. It says it ships at 143 lbs but I swear it weighs 150. Got it up the stairs with the help of a friend (much easier than trying by meself) the box is a little awkward. I was able to program my code and open the safe with no problems. Also it comes with a pair of emergency keys so in case you forget the code or the lock runs out of battery life you can still get int. It's pretty heavy duty and it is quite spacious inside. So far I've been able to fit 5 firearms 2 shotguns 2 pistols and a pistol caliber carbine. I plan on buying an AR or AK rifle and it appears that I'll still be able to fit that as well. For a 1st safe I feel secure storing my firearms in there.

Monster of a Safe!
I've owned various types, shapes and sizes of gun safes. This is my first under bed safe and it is unbelievable. If you don't own a safe and only own a hunting rifle, a black rifle, a shotgun and a few pistols....get this safe. It will work. If you live in a downstairs apartment......get this safe. It will work. If you live in an upstairs apartment...get this safe. It will work. If you want to have a safe in a spare bedroom.....get this safe. It will work. If you want a safe in your master bedroom.....get this safe. It will work. Seriously, you can move this safe with a small dolly (approximately 150lbs) lay it down and slide it under your bed. It needs about 7" to fit but will work on the side of most beds and will even work under the foot end of the bed if you have a King Bed. The sliding drawer and locking mechanism are high grade and (if you're so inclined) even allow this safe to be bolted to your floor. The safe, when loaded with guns, could be stolen if it's not bolted down but it would be difficult but, to be safe, you should bolt it to the floor. Again, this is an impressive safe and well worth the relatively high price.

An Excellent Under-Bed Solution
This safe is perfect for under the bed (King-size, but will fit others). The measurements are just right, the safe has a good quality to it and a reasonable locking system. When the safe first arrived, I had a hard time opening it. Since then, it has been smooth to operate. The crackle-finish is good. The safe is heavy, which is a good thing to deter theft. There is an anchoring system if one wishes to bolt the unit to the floor. You can easily fit two to three large firearms, plus some accessories, and still pull the drawer out. Improvements that could be made: 1) Even though the drawer is pretty smooth, when you load up the drawer it takes considerable effort to open it. This would be more of a concern for smaller women trying to access the drawer in the middle of the night. The solution is for the manufacturer to design and install a beefier rail system for the drawer (albeit at greater expense) to decrease the effect of the bending forces and resulting friction. This is certainly not to say that the current rail system is inadequate; it works. 2) The keypad lock could use an illumination system. Forget trying to open the safe in the dark. My solution is to punch in the code and unlock the drawer just prior to retiring to bed, and lock it again when I get up. Overall this is a very good safe and suits the job. There are several other safes that are around this size out there, but none seem to be as good a value. I also understand that this safe is built in the United States, which is important to me (and ought to be to you too). What this safe allows you to do is keep a long-gun (shotgun, rifle), or other defense items under your bed instead of just a pistol.

serves it's purpose...for a price.
I went for this to keep my shotgun safe from accidental use while having a relatively quick access while under the bed. Overall impression is that it is not worth the 600-800 dollars, more like 300-450 max; however considering it's pretty much one of a kind on it's operation right now I'm not complaining too much. Here's the breakdown.PROS:- drawer style for full access to all contents while concealed under bed (#1 reason for purchase over other hinged door options)- weight, is heavier than most of it's competition- has an option to turn off keypad sounds (don't want to disclose my location that early to an intruder)- multiple mounting holes (easily done through carpet and sub floor)CONS:- price- keypad not lighted (easily fixed with a magnetic red led safe light also found on amazon)- no interior lighting (also easily fixed with motion senser led light placed inside)- the opening mechanism feels cheap (plastic rotating handle/disc to left of keypad) that if you do not turn and let go of slowly the pins will retract back on their own sometimes requiring entering the code and opening again just to close it.- not fire/water resistant??- the glides on the drawer appears to be the same build and materials of that I have on a wooden walmart dresser. This thing is much heavier. Hopefully they will last.

Missing screw and totally lock box came lose from frame and it doesn't turn on
Piece of a junk, came with inside lock missing screw and totally lock box came lose from frame. And it doesn't even turn on after battery is placed. And looks like battery cover is missing. I think manufacture indicated that it suppose to have 2 keys, but I only have 1 key received.Looks like it's good safe, if you buy from other people other than Lenny. This is really heavy safe ( like 150 lb). I am returning this piece of junk from Lenny, god help me I will file claim against the seller.Edit: I got it managed to turn on the safe, but here is a kicker, if you close the safe harder, then safe lose the power. This might be due to missing battery cover.

This is a great safe, well conatructed fits nicely under the bed
This is a great safe, well conatructed fits nicely under the bed. Holds my shotgun, ar15, and 7 handguns. Came with a dent but customer relations worked out a great solution that both parties were happy with. The safe is AAA in my book, the one thing I would wish would be different is the lock knob, it will lock after the drawer is open by its self. You just have to enter your code again before you can close the drawer. Other than that all the rest of my opinions are PRO Monster Safe.
