As a nutritionist, I buy this for all parents
This book was required in my master's degree program to become a nutritionist. There is excellent information on how to introduce foods to your baby in a way that will promote healthy eating for a lifetime. They also talk about eating for toddlers and situations like food neophobia that is completely natural but makes most parents panic and give their baby French fries or cookies.

Best book covering infant and child nutrition ever !
This book is a perfect baby shower gift or gift for a new mother! As a Registered Dietitian and a Registered Nurse I find this book truly inspiring and progressive! I have recommended it to countless people. I find myself giving my own copy away over and over. It is my hope more pediatricians would get on board with healthier eating for their patients after reading this book.We are lucky to have you spreading the word, Dr Greene! May you continue your wonderful work for many years!

everyone should purchase this book, even if you don't have kids
I haven't even finished the book and it's already changed my lifestyle (and thus my family) in many positive ways. It is well written, informative and interesting. I highly recommend this book and will purchase it again in the future for baby shower gifts.I only wish I had this book before/during my pregnancy, but am grateful to have it while my child is still young!

GREAT resource, but take what you want and leave the rest
I found this book to give me a lot to think about. It gave me a fresh and informative perspective on what we will feed our daughter. It did make me feel bad about how I ate through pregnancy, I tried to eat good, but when I was sick there were only a few things I could eat. Then, there is quite a bit of "fluff" in this book, that is based soley on Dr. Greene's opinion, which I do value, but I wish he touched on other ways to do things, like Baby Led Weaning. I ordered that book too, and it's supposed to arrive today, so hopefully I can take something from each book and develop our own way of doing things. I really did love the information in this book though, it made my Husband and I have a discussion about changing the way we eat so that we can be healthier as a family! This is a great book to buy, I highly recommend it.

Very helpful
How can you tell how much a baby should be eating during the transition from only breast milk to some solid food? This book provides some very concrete ideas as well as some recipes that work for a vegan, food-conscious family. It provided guidance that the pediatrician wasn't able to offer.

Too earth crunchy for my tastes
I love the concept of feeding my baby naturally and I plan to make a lot of my own food for her. Unfortunately, this book was just a little too earthy, crunchy, hippie for my tastes.I also purchased this book when my daughter was 5 months old in preparation for starting to feed her solids. Much of the book focuses on eating while pregnant and nursing so I missed the boat on that (although I ate very healthy and this book did not do much to advance my knowledge).I was hoping for a bit more guidance and recipe suggestions for feeding my baby solids but this book did not really tell me anything that I did not already know. For me, this book was a waste of money because I was turned off by the tone and felt like I already knew everything he had to say about eating naturally.

easy to read
This book is outstanding. I found it to be practical, easy to read, and helpful. It offers simple ways of making healthy foods more palatable for children while also making choices that benefit the environment. Great read.

Basic information.
This book does have some handy information but for second time mothers and those who already have basic information on infant nutrition it's practically just review. Recommended for first time moms or beginners in early childhood education.

But have re-read it for the great advice and learned so much of how to start ...
Truly a parents must read. I originally purchased it for the recipes inside which for me are not healthy enough. But have re-read it for the great advice and learned so much of how to start a healthy association with food from the womb for the baby to further.
