Very handy specially for recharging and protecting the water resistant features
A bit pricey but a fantastic (functional and aesthetics) addition to your Xperia Tablet ZThe tablet sits very nice on it, making it very handy (specially if you use the enclosed app on the tablet for remote control). The Xperia Tablet Z is water resistant/ "water proof" due to the seals that cover the connection points such as the micro USB charging port. If you do NOT close them properly you risk ruining your tablet by water sipping in. That potential problem is solved with this cradle. With this stand you NEVER have to take off (open) the USB port cover. This cradle has two extra recharging ports that recharge the Tablet on exposed metal contact points (builtin to the tablet). All you do is attach the recharger from the tablet (NOT included with the cradle) and slide the table unto it.Make sure it rests / sits all the way.Love it.

Charging Cradle is Sleek and Functional but Pricey
I actually like this cradle a lot. It's sleek and attractive, charges fairly quickly and is sturdy in it's use as a stand. It's also adjustable as a stand.I felt a little stupid because it took me a couple tries to set it up correctly. The instructions are very "compact," shall we say. Once I did though, it automatically set up the connection to dynamically charge.I would give this a 5-star rating except that I think the price is rather steep for what it is. While it is sturdy, I think around $40-$50 is probably closer to its worth, especially without a cable included. I did get one with my tablet that works with it, but the length is pretty short for setting on most tables.I'd get 1-2 extra of these to have in various spots around the house if the price were a bit lower.

a great accessory for the Xperia Z Tablet
This is a pretty good charging cradle. First off, I don't believe it's a 5 star product because it does not come with any cables. You need to use the charging cable that came with the tablet (actually any compatible one will do). That's really the only thing that I didn't like. I really liked that they were thoughtful and designed this as to not block the speakers. Second, no need to open that waterproof tab to charge anymore. It may prolong the waterproof attribute of your tablet since you're not opening and closing the tab daily to charge. Finally, it has a small kickstand- perfect for viewing movies or when using a Bluetooth keyboard. It's light weight and fits easily into a backpack or briefcase.

So... I don't need an alarmclock... but...
I love this thing. I'm the guy who bought the Z1 when it came out and now that I still have it and tech has progressed; Z1 use is limited. Though a home tablet/data center/calendar/ across the room alarm-clock; the dock meets all of those needs. It looks nice and minimal. When the Z is docked, it's a solid connection and charges like it's supposed to. Since there is a constant regulated power supply and the Z1 is angled to be presented, it's like a secretary by the keys. I can look at the weather, turn off the alarm, and check email. The Dock makes the Z1 not wander the house. Or look lame sitting on the counter with the wire.

Sony Cradle
I bought this for my Sony tablet so I could charge it while I use it. The cradle is nice because the tablet does fit snugly and it stays charged. I does adjust to different positions however the leg will not stay in position so I have to brace it. It would be better if it stayed in place when using the tablet. If you are only going to watch a video then it is fine.

NICE!
I am so glad that I got this charging cradle. One of the Xperia Tablet Z's greatest strengths in its water resistance nearly cripples it in terms of charging this sucker. Having to pop open a water-resistance seal on the micro USB port each time is agonizing and cramped. This charging cradle, however, negates the need for this. Simply slide the tablet in and...you're done! The two charging receptacles on the side of the tablet line up neatly with the charging cradle. There's no forcing in or wiggling the tablet to get it charging and it's remarkably easy to use. It's totally worth the price.

Poorly designed
I'm amazed at and puzzled as to why so many people gave this dock 5 and 4 star reviews. This dock doesn't hold the angle it it set to. There are no actual latches or any kind of stopping mechanism, which prevents the tablet from gliding down from the angle you set it to. For example, if you set it to 45 degrees after a short while, maybe like a week of use and adjusting the docking angle back and forth based on your needs the dock becomes so loose that when you touch the screen of the tablet it actually pushes the docking angle down and you end up with 30 and then 20 degrees rather quickly, instead of 45 you set it too. And after a longer period of time the dock sometimes glides down without even touching the screen, just because of the tablet's weight....That is really annoying, this dock has no "back support". It has become unusable to me and I'm currently shoping for alternative.

This is a great cradle!
This cradle is a great purchase. I had the first generation of Sony tablet with the cradle as well and it is a must.ProsCharges without opening the waterproof coverAdjusts for different viewing anglesConsYou must slide it in from the top unlike the first generation that was easier to set the tablet inDoes not allow you to keep the desk clock app to stay on while in the cradle, the first gen wouldI use my tablet as a TV companion a lot and having the cradle next to my recliner in the living room makes it very convenient for access and charging. I highly recommend this.
