Wireless Music and Calls on the go : Jabra CLIPPER is the newest addition to Jabra's Stereo Headset range providing users with wireless stereo music and calls in one cool little Bluetooth clip. Jabra CLIPPER's in-ear headphones block external noise which enhance its clear, vibrant music and calling quality - leaving you to get lost in your music rather than the outside rumble. However, to make sure you're still connected to the outside world, Jabra CLIPPER automatically switches between your music and incoming calls to your phone. Plus, to prevent you from dropping out of range or leaving your phone behind Jabra CLIPPER cleverly features a mobile distance alert (within 10 m). The Jabra CLIPPER is compatible with any device with Bluetooth technology and has the ability to connect to two different devices at the same time. It also comes with a 3.5mm plug so that you can use your own favorite headphones.

Good in function, short on form
I bought this device so I could listen to music and podcasts while riding my bike or running. I wanted a device so I could control the device, while keeping my phone safely stored away somewhere. On the function side of things, this does everything I wanted. It pairs easily, plays clearly with a decent range, and controls the play/pause, track forward/reverse as well as volume. I haven't suffered any of the line of sight dropout issues others have commented on. While it's true I can't leave my phone in one room and expect the Clipper to work on the other side of my house, I've no issue leaving my phone in a backpack.Where it comes up lacking is on the form. There is no way to check the status of the battery, so you basically only know when there are fewer than five minutes of playtime less. This wouldn't be a problems, except that you have to hold the main button down for a very long time in order to turn the device off, and sometimes I don't and I only discover this when I go to use it, and find it giving me a low battery warning. The other big issue is durability of the design. After a few months of use, the metal clip has come unglued from the electronic portion of the device, which means I have to be very careful when putting it on an article of clothing, or I might end up shearing this thing in half with my pocket.Overall I've been pleased with the Clipper, but the durability issues make me think I will try a different product the next time I am looking for a Bluetooth receiver.

Almost perfect, especially at this price
I bought the Jabra Clipper to replace my Plantronics BackBeat 903 headphones, which had (for the second time) developed a crack at the pivot point for one of the earbuds. What appealed to me about the Jabra Clipper was (a) its very low price, especially if you choose a less popular color (I bought the blue), and (b) the ability to use any earbuds or headphones, including my noise-cancelling headphones, and not just the decent earbuds with which it comes. By and large, I've been pleased with the Clipper, which operates as advertised. A few concerns led me to deduct one star, though:1) Range isn't great. I've had sound dropouts when the receiver was clipped to my collar and the phone in a belt pouch indoors; the only time I had similar problems with the Plantronics was outside when there may have been radio interference.2) The only microphone and volume/play control you can use is the one on the actual clip (the earbuds that come with the Clipper don't have one); even if other replacement headphones or earbuds have a mic and/or remote control for use with your phone, the Clipper will not let you access it. Before I realized that, I had the Clipper clipped to my belt and tried to make a telephone call using earbuds with a mic, and didn't understand why the person I called couldn't hear me well. Short answer: the mic was two feet from my mouth.Other than those limitations, the Clipper is a great product, and at the sale price, an unbeatable one. Recommended.

Great bluetooth earbud unit
This is one of many Bluetooth headsets over the course of a few years, but definately the first earbud style. Purchased in retail packaging, it arrived safe and sound.Ease of Use: Three buttons, simple as that. Each of the three buttons control multiple functions which is quite managable and easy to do. The clip design took a moment to get used to, but is wonderful for securing the unit to your shirt, jacket, blouse, or whatever.Sound Quality: The earbuds packaged with the unit are pretty average, but were just fine for me. If your looking for high def sound quality, plan to replace the earbuds with ones of your own. This will be a plus for many users, as the Clipper does not care what brand you plug in. As for voice calls, the quality is great. Even when driving with the window down at highway speeds you can easily be heard by the other party and hear them.Pairing: I paired the unit with a Motorola RAZR MAXX and it was a snap, no code, no hassle, enough saidGreat unit, i'm very pleased.

Overall great device and a couple of things to know
The device pairs easily with my phone. I like the fact that it is very light and can be clipped just about any where. The earbuds have good sound and I like the shorter overall length but wish the 2 side lengths were equal. The right side is at least half the length of the left side so it's a bit awkward. I like to wear the device on the front of my shirt and the unequal lengths mean extra cord on the left side. I think they intend you to drape the longer cable around the back of your neck but I don't like that feel. The battery seems to last about 5 hours before needing a recharge. One thing I don't like about this device is that it does not display it's battery level on the phone. Every other bluetooth device I own displays on the phone but this does not. I contacted Jabra to see if there was a firmware update to correct and was told No the device does not have the ability to display. I just plug mine into the charger every other day to make sure I have tunes when I'm working out.

Will definitely do for now
I'm really not getting the complaints about this being hard to clip, because it's not. It clips easily to my sports bra or shirt collar, and stays exactly where I put it every time. The headphones that came with it aren't the most amazing, but they fit just fine and I like the length of the cord. The sound, for a bluetooth device, is awesome. I have tried 5 pairs of headphones, and these are the best- good bass, good volume, not too much wind or impact noise. The only reason it's not 5 stars is the battery doesn't last forever like some other ones. It does do about 4 hours, and may get better once it has a few more full charges and discharges. The buttons are easy, just tap for volume changes, and then press for 2 seconds (until it beeps) to change the track- not that complicated, people. It automatically reads my texts to me, and always understands me, so the mic works great. This will definitely hold me over until an affordable pair of earbud-style bluetooth headphones comes out.
