D.Gray-Man, Vol. 5

Arrived fast and in great condition.

I was really happy with this volume. It's in great quality as expected from amazon. If you're not familiar with this series, I highly recommend reading it, obviously start with the first novel. If you're not sure at least try reading it online to see if you like it, that's what i did and now I'm buying the series. Both the story and the artwork are great; Katsura Hoshino has created an amazing story. If you're a fan of Bleach (Tite Kubo), I think you will like it because it's similar in some aspects but very different in other good ways. As you read more, Hoshino does a lovely job of fleshing out all the characters, so you really get a feel for how they are. One of my favorite thing about this series, is that well into the story, you see how the line is blurred between good and bad, and Hoshino hint that even a 'Holy war' (as it is referred to in the manga) isn't exactly good. I actually see that fact as a faint parallel to the crusades, since people were fighting in the name of God. Obviously it isn't the same, with demons (or Akuma(more like killing machines than seductive tempters(i.e. they just kill people , they don't tempt them to do bad and then eat their soul))) as the pawns for side of the war, and exorcists(like soldiers/similar to the shinigami from Bleach(not priests who pray and chant the demons away)) on the other. Anyway it's a really great, well written, and thought up story so I recommend you read if you don't already. If you do already read it and are to buy them, I recommend ordering them here, as the price is decent, you can get free shipping if you like enough volumes (like 2 or 3), and they are great quality. Also shipping was on time for me, and I had no problem with it what so ever.

This is one of the best manga you will ever find! It also has an anime which I wish would continue!! Anyways I hope you enjoy this as much as I did!

I've loved every volume Ive read of D. Gray-Man and I adore Allen Walker and his cohorts. I plan to read the whole series.

This fifth volume of `D.Gray-Man' sees the continuation of Allen and Lavi's fight against Krory and Eliade but not everything is as it seems and when Allen's eye becomes operational again, the truth is revealed. Once this battle is over Allen and his friends continue their search for General Cross, the trail leading them across the world to China. Meanwhile the Millennium Earl and the Clan of Noah step up their attacks and their search for the Heart leading to a great increase in the death toll for the Black Order.This is another good volume of `D.Gray-Man' with some nice battles and some good comedy scenes as well. The artwork remains good and the characters designs are all very nice. This volume also introduces Tyki Mikk who is another very interesting character. Overall, this was another very nice volume and while the series probably isn't yet good enough to get the full five stars, it is definitely getting there.
