Digital Viewer wouldn’t work in the iPad. I think it’s a matter of the iPad OS being different than Mac iOS in laptops and computers - the Exec File didn’t know what to in the iPad.The scope worked fine in Photo Booth in my Mac laptop.What did work well is the app, CamX, available as a download through the App Store for free.The scope delivers a sharp image with excellent resolution!

I tried a few USB microscopes prior to purchasing this - but this will definitely be the last one - for good reason. Image quality, ease of set-up and use, and build quality (no junk plastic housing etc) is streets ahead of other scopes at this price range (and I tried a few sadly......)My primary intended use for this is to inspect turntable cartridge stylus assembly and alignment. I recently bought a new cartridge and was yet to install it but prior to doing so decided to take a look at it under the scope and realised the diamond stylus had a crack/deformity and is defective. Had I installed the cartridge and only noticed this fault through listening - I would have struggled to claim warranty on it. This scope practically paid for itself on day 1.Highly recommended - and after sales support (had some software questions) is top shelf!

Pretty good device overall. Resolution is good. Software is generic AMCAP but works ok. Quality is fair overall. Stand with gooseneck is a little hokey- I'll probably make my own.

Those who are addicted to listening to vinyl records. Often use microscopes for various needs of their hobby. This is a good microscope for that. I can recommend it.

Really not as good as I thought it might be by the other reviews. Base not heavy enough to support it and it's constantly moving and going out of focus. For me, it's very difficult to get into focus if I can get it to at all. I'm not very pleased with the item but, you get what you pay for I suppose. I use for looking at coins and I would not recommend it for this. If I find I'm not doing something right I will update my review. Thanks

We purchased the Opti-tekscope primarily to look at old coins. The clarity of the images is superb! We've even looked at a few diamonds under full zoom and it's quite amazing what can be seen. The software was super simple to install although we decided after reading other reviews, to use tge VLC Media Player. Works excellent and would recommend to anyone if you are looking for a high quality scope at a great price.

Way too big and bulky to be used for the reason I bought it, to see inside the ear and clean. It may work well for other purposes but not for this unless you have a cavernous hole leading to your eardrums. I give it one star for advertising ear exploration when this really will not work in the two sets of ears I've tried, so far.

Item was missing a mounting screw, so I couldn't use the base, but I did test it as a hand held device, before deciding to return it. It was plug-n-play on LINUX, but the focal distance was too short for my purposes. This camera has to be within about 3" of the object you are trying to view. It cannot be set to "infinity" as suggested by the product description. Magnification is about as advertised. Fit and finish are nice enough.
