Size:Set of 4 Keep your bathtub drain clean and clear with the OXO Good Grips Bathtub Drain Protector. Effortless and it works. Just measure your drain before you buy.
Before buying, I measured the perimeter of the flat ring of my bathtub drain (2.9in), which is just a little bigger than the OXO drain protector (2.8in). It sits well and looks like it's a permanent part of the tub, compared to my last drain protector -- a translucent rubbery flower dome with suction cups that gets grimey and never looks motivating to clean. This OXO drain protector does well catching hair, although it still clogs only because I use a thick conditioner that seems to gum up at the bottom of the tub anyway. This drain protector is at least easy enough to just lift, wipe, and plop back into the tub. I give this 5 stars because it fits my drain well, looks good, is hassle-free to clean, and I really can't ask for a full-proof, non-clogging one that also catches hair for this price. As long as there's a flat surface for a 0.8in rubber ring to sit, it should work. Just make sure that the flat surface is free from any debris and then add bit of water before inserting the OXO drain protector to get a little extra seal.

More than I thought it would be...
For some reason I must have thought this was bigger then it is, my fault for either not reading or overlooking dimensions of the product. Picture shows how big it is in actual size. Packaged, eh. It got here in good shape, pretty sturdy as most all OXO products are that I have purchased in my life, their stuff is good quality. Put it in my bathtub drain dome side up and even with the Silicone encircling the metal it slid around. Flipped it over to dome side down and it stays in place. Now we don'the have any mechanisms in our drain whatsoever as it is over 55 years old and has all gone by the wayside, so this product is working well to catch all that long long hair of mine. Buy it especially if your looking for what I described here. As for the dome fitting over a popped up type of drain fitting, probably won't fit, but I don't know. Photo shows 3 stacked quarters beside product.

The best review ever
There are pros and cons to every item you buy and unless you can make the item you are buying, it may not always be perfect. So, this item I had read a bunch of reviews before ordering, many of the reviews stating how the tub fills with water due to the holes being so small that they don't allow water to drain fast enough, I look at this as a bonus feature. OK, so not sure how many of you actually enjoy taking a bath, aka sitting in a tub filled with water and soap and dirt and w/e else, me though, I despise taking a bath, they are extremely boring and before the tub even fills enough to cover my carcass, I want to drain it and get out. After getting out of the tub, after a bath, I have to go shower off, as I feel that I never get all the soap, dirt and w/e else off of me, so I go rinse off in the shower. The only thing I have found the tub useful for, is soaking my feet, this is where the bonus part of this item comes in handy. Most people take showers and spend a good 20+ minutes doing so, so now I don't have to waste time soaking my feet, every time I shower the tubs fills just enough for my feet to soak in while still getting clean. Also, another issue I read among other reviews, the item floating due to not holding on to the tub to well, not sure about those people, but my tub has an round indentation around the drain this thing fits into great, it doesn't move at all and I tried to spray it with the shower head at close range and it moved MAYBE a 10th of an inch, it wasn't enough to notice really, but during a normal shower, it doesn't move, so IF you are one of those unfortunate people that your tub does not have some kind of indentation around the drain, then I am not sure how well this would work, I haven't tried this in different areas that are flat in my tub, because I don't have to.Anyways, after the first 2 days of using this thing, I realized just how much hair my mother loses each day of showering, I went into her room and held up a handful of hair this thing caught and ask her "how the hell do you still have hair on your head ?", she laughed and thought I was kidding when I said all of it came from the shower, so it has worked so far.

Sadly this even slowed the water from going down the drain
Looked like it would be the perfect solution to catch hair, but I put it over the drain (fit PERFECTLY) and turned the shower on, and immediately the tub started to fill up - so the hair didn't go down the drain, but neither did the water - oops! Within a couple of minutes, I picked this one up and put my old one back on (it was getting warped & not working as well, but was still better than the oxo). My old one was this one: Evriholder Hairstopper, Plastic Drain Cover for Showers or Bathtubs, Drain Hair Colander/Strainer, Hair Catcher, Drain Protector for the Tub Drain, Pack of 2 That one worked perfectly in my shower/tub.

Does Not Work
Other reviews state that this doesn't stay put over the drain. I decided to try it anyways, but the other reviews were right. It does not stay put, it just sort of floats around, which obviously defeats the purpose of blocking the drain. I love OXO products, but take it from me and do not order this product.

Easy to clean, doesn’t easily clog!
This was the perfect solution to our bathtub drain woes. We have an older tub, which has long been missing a drain cover. We’ve tried several other products to keep hair from clogging the drain and they always had the issue of quickly getting blocked by soap scum and nasty build up—leading to a slow draining tub and frequent cleaning necessary. This OXO cover catches the hair but has large enough holes to let the other stuff through. It’s also really easy to clean: every few days I just swipe an old toothbrush over the top to grab the hair and toss it into the trash, without having to touch it! This cover just sits over the drain, but it stays in place for us.

Well made but didn't work for me
I think this item is as good as this can get, very well made, and high quality. Even looks nice. I really thought it would work. It fit my drain well, I used this in a tile floor shower. It looked like it was sitting right against the drain but lots of hair was getting under it. Also it needed cleaning after every shower or two because the holes are pretty small, which they have to be for it to work. But if you skipped cleaning it for a couple showers the water stopped draining. Even clean it slowed the drainage a lot. I think my drains will just keep getting hairy, not sure what the answer is.
