Still works good and looks great two years later.
It's stylish enough to leave out on my glass stove top, and after almost daily use for two years, is still in perfect shape and whistles when it's hot. A tiny minor issue is that the handle is small/ close to the pot, so you need to be a little careful removing the lid while it's hot or you'll burn your hand, but the alternative had a giant ugly handle, so being a little careful is a small price to me.

Excellent Little Kettle
I searched quite a while to find a small kettle (less than 2 qts) that would work well over a gas stove. I originally had purchased one from a big box store, but I couldn't go near the handle it was so hot when boiled, and within a week it showed signs of rust!I went with an "old fashioned" tea kettle as I'll be using it quite a bit while camping (no electricity) over a propane stove. I've been using it at home the past several weeks over a gas stove and on the whole have been very pleased. To address the issues that worried me from prior reviews before I purchased it:Melting Spout - I've found because this is a small kettle, if I have the flame on high it can certainly lick up the sides of the kettle and I imagine this is why some people had issues with the spout cover melting. I only use this kettle on medium to medium low heat. I'd say it still boils very fast - not everything has to be on maximum. I know it's habit to want to turn it up to high, but crank it back a bit!Dribbling spout - Other kettles will have a "fill line" inside them to show you how much to fill it. Because the interior of this kettle is black enamel, I do not see a fill line indicated. A manual kettle should always be filled to no higher than right below the spout. Yes, it will feel like the kettle is half empty! If you fill it more than this, it will spit and sputter at you. I haven't actually measured how much water this is, but it easily fills my french press, plus enough to warm my coffee mug up in advance and even some left over.Pros:* Really nice size and appearance* Heats up to boil fast - don't put over higher than medium heat if you have a gas stove!* Cleans very easily - easy to get in the opening* Trigger in the handle keeps you from having to flip a hot spout open.Cons:* Handle does get a bit hot - not as hot as other kettles I've had, and even a piece of paper towel is enough to wrap around it to make it comfortably cool. I wish they'd come up with a kettle with a heat proof handle!* Pours well, if fast. I wish it had a more precise pour spout, but that isn't a complaint as it works well.On the whole, and certainly for the price, I'd highly recommend this kettle.

Overall Great Kettle, A Few Technical Issues
We purchased the navy version of this tea kettle, and it is a very pretty tea kettle to look at. It has a polished shine to the color and is ceramic. When purchasing this tea kettle I did think that the size was going to be too small and would not hold enough water. But when I used the tea kettle it held much more water than you would think. The small size makes the kettle easier to store than other larger kettles, but I was not disappointed by the water capacity it held. Overall, the experience with this tea kettle is great! But it had a few technical issues. One issue was that when you would pour the kettle it would spill some water. I think this happened because some of the water that was coming out of the spout was dripping down the spout and made its way down to the counter top. I used the kettle at least 12 times, and it was not just a one time thing. It did leave a significant amount of water on the counter top, and for that reason we are returning it. I do not know if all the kettles are like that, or I just received a defective one, but overall I was very pleased with this tea kettle.

Excellent Product
I don't know what everyone else's problem with this kettle is, but mine works perfectly-- just as a kettle should. So many people talk about how the water splashes all over and one guy even provided a video of his kettle doing just that. I don't know if he was trying to pour full bore, way too fast and this is what caused the problem, but I suspect so. The spout is not a fire that hose you can force water full blast from, especially fully boiling water. I tip my kettle slowly, in a smooth motion, and hot water just pulled from the stove flows smoothly into my cup, no problem. I just don't understand why folks are having such a problem. Then there is the whistle some complain about. Don't get that either. Sounds like every other tea kettle whistle I've heard throughout my life, and I've been drinking it since I was about eight years old. The physics of this kettle have no problems in my opinion, but then I guess I'm just smarter than the tea kettle.

... reasons I read in reviews but I am quite happy with the kettle
I was a bit hesitant about purchasing for a couple of reasons I read in reviews but I am quite happy with the kettle. It is not as large as my previous kettle but big enough to make a large pot of tea. My only criticism/warning is that it gushes out when you first start to pour which luckily for me has only made a bit of a mess, no injuries. Once I learn to pour slowly at first this should not be a problem. I ordered the dark blue which is pretty true to the photo; not a dark cobalt/sapphire blue more of a dark federal/slate blue. My concern had been the whistle and whether or not it would be loud enough and it is. A kettle that can't be heard several rooms away is useless as far as I am concerned and this one is plenty loud enough. If it lasts as long as my previous kettle it will be worth every penny.

Right size
Have been searching for a smaller stove stop kettle and this is the right size. Love the colour as well. Only concern is that even though it whistles it is not a loud whistle need to be close to the kitchen to hear it.

Pretty but faulty.
This is a really cute tea kettle. And it functions very well in terms of easy filling, not spilling, and size.Where it breaks down is with the type of material used for the spout and handle. Both get very hot on a gas stove, and the spout of the kettle has already melted a little, making it relatively unsafe to use.But if you can keep an eye on it, or take it off of the stove entirely when cooking, I would still recommend it. Used alone on the stove the handle just gets a little hot, and the spout holds up fine. It's a great colour, too!

This kettle is the perfect size for a one-cup serving or small teapot. It's very stylish -- I keep it on my stovetop not just for its functionality but also for its looks!

Es una muy bonita tetera se ve con materiales muy buenos, el Ășnico detalle es que al tener la agarrarera algo baja se puede calentar un poco.
