I do Commercial Food Service delivery for work, in the last 2 months these boots have proven their worth. I drive an 18 wheeler and deliver food goods with a hand truck 5 nights a week, rain or shine, clocking about 13,000 to 15,000 steps a night, usually pushing 200-500 lbs on a variety of surfaces, from asphalt to freezers to greasy kitchen floors and these boots are capable in all situations.Excellent waterproofing, the first month of use we were experiencing flooding in my region from unusually heavy rainfall, which meant the occasional stroll through ankle-deep water, and walking in heavy rainfall all night. Kept my feet and socks dry the whole night.Above average slip resistance. You ain’t gonna be Spider-Man but the boots allow for enough traction to push a fully loaded hand truck up a ramp from a kitchen floor covered in grease into a freezer covered in ice with enough grip to get the job done safely. I’ll still slide out from time to time but it’s literally under worst case conditions.Above average comfort. Flexible and enough padding to keep from sore feet / blisters. I have fairly flat feet and I haven’t needed to swap insoles. If you require above average arch support I would suggest swapping insoles with what works best for you.The only role I wouldn’t recommend these boots for is if you’re a truck driver or operator that has to ride a heavy clutch all day everyday, as they aren’t as rigid as others and the composite toe cap will tend to bend back towards the top of your foot while clutching. My fleet still has a few manual transmission trucks and I can put up with it every once in awhile but wouldn’t recommend if you have to clutch all day everyday.

I bought these for my husband. He had a pair of this brand before that lasted for years. Very durable and my husband states they are very comfortable.

I'm a firefighter so I'm using these for duty boots. I read some of the previous reviews stating that these were made in the USA, they are actually made in China. That was disappointing. They do fit fairly well. So far they are stiff around the ankle but I expect them to loosen up a little once broken in more. Not much cushion in the insoles, I guess I'll need to get inserts.

These boots hurt my right heel to wear. The size feels fine as their is no pain in my other foot.

These boots are amazing, thats all that is needed to say!

My son works in law enforcement and says these are the best boots he has ever worn. Very comfortable and durable!

I thought all thorogoods were made in the US. These aren't. They are an ok boot besides that.
