Black & Decker Toaster Ovens, 1, Silver

So here is the thing I bought this from Amazon Warehouse deals. The item was supposed to have a scratch on the back, but really one of the feet were bent and I am okay with that. The item was unused with all the packaging and tape still in place. I paid $55 for this item. Honestly I wouldn't pay more than that for it. The 5 minute pizza oven is awesome. Pure awesome. I can cook a tombstone pizza is 6 minutes flat, not 5, but 6 and it comes out perfect. There is a bunch of setting. Apparently the top 3 are all 600 plus degrees and the bottom ones are 350 degrees. Realistically the regular thin crust setting is 600 degrees and the rising crust I got around 400 because the top element turns off. Actually it cooks better on the rising crust setting, but expect it to take twice as long. Also I baked a round circle cake in it for 10 minutes and it came out perfectly done. So here is some things I wish they would correct if they keep making this oven. First put some sides on the pizza pan rack to hold stuff on it because the ceramic is way way way too slippery and food tends to slide right off. Second I wish it came with some sort of silicone baking make to help with slippery food like chicken wings. One more thing I wish it was a little bigger to hold bigger pizzas and also taller to hold bigger items in it. Overall great item when the price is right.

Update #2: The manufacturer contacted me today and is shipping me a new unit, no questions asked. If they want to examine the old one, they will pay to ship it. I really have no quarrel at all with this entire process. In fairness, I've raised my review to 3 stars because this really is a 5 star product. The problem was a serious one, but the customer service was top notch.Update #1: I have contacted the manufacturer as instructed and will elaborate on the process.I loved this oven for the 3 months I've had it, but it gets one star because I'm afraid it will burn my house down. I wish I was joking, but it started throwing off a large spark out of the side and tripping off the breaker. Very disconcerting and disappointing. Well, it supposedly has a 2 year warranty, I'll see if there is any contact about a replacement. Such a shame, because when it worked, it was awesome.

It took me awhile, but I finally understood how this machine was designed and now I use it several times a week, not just for pizza. Reheating pizza is good too, but other snacks are quickly cooked. Here is one of my latest pizzas, where I preheat the oven and tray for 5 minutes, pull it out and build my pizza on it, and then cook it for 5 minutes. Fast and delicious. It does take up a lot of counter space, but isn't heavy and can easily be moved to a shelf and pulled out as needed. But actually I only put mine away when I need the counter space or company is coming.

I have just received this "Pizza Oven", and I have only made one pizza in it so far, so a change in the rating may happen depending on how it performs over the coming months.The reason I have "Pizza Oven" in quotations, is because I am not 100% sold on the fact that this is exactly that....from what I have seen, this thing is a direct decedent of the big burning star in the sky we know as the SUN.This thing gets HOT. I mean....REALLY HOT.However, it works exactly as stated in the description. When I first took it out of the box, it felt too light....I was worried that it wasn't heavy duty enough. And it may be the case, however as of right now, this thing looks GREAT, the knobs and dials for temp & time feel solid and sturdy, and it cooks a GREAT pizza in exactly 5 minutes. All in all, you cannot go wrong for this price.

I really like the idea of this oven. I make home made pizza weekly and don't like heating up the house by preheating the oven for 45 minutes. Anyhow, I followed the instructions and preheated the oven for 5 minutes. Didn't seem hot enough so I heated for 10 more minutes. Tried to cook pizza but bottom did not crisp up. Used my thermo-gun and the pizza pan in the oven was only 468 degrees. If you get one of these that actually gets to 600 degrees I am sure it works great. Unfortunately, mine did not. Returned it.

FOR THE SECOND TIME!!! WARNING DONT BUY!! We made the below review then company replaced with new unit now here we are agin - SAME HAZARDOUS problem!!!!! Once again won't turn off and had smoke bellowing out of the kitchen setting off detectors after a 3min item didn't turn off and I was changing a diaper and 8 min later charcoal still on fire inside etc etc !!!!!! Loved this product sooooo much but yesterday it quit turning off completely almost started a fire!! I had to unplug it- no ding!

THIS IS THE FIRST IN HOME PIZZA OVEN/COOKER THAT I ABSOLUTELY LOVE!!! THE FLOOR (CERAMIC TRAY) ACTUALLY (AS MEASURED BY A LASER DIGITAL THERMOMETER READ AT 750 DEGREES F!!! WILL COOK A FRESH OR FROZEN PIZZA IN LESS THAN 5 MINUTES, THIN CRUST, WITH TOPPINGS DONE AND CHEESE MELTED THROUGH AS WELL!!! IF YOU LOVE PIZZA, HATE WAITING AND PAYING HIGH PRICES FOR DELIVERY, THEN THIS IS THE APPLIANCE FOR YOU!!!

This little pizza oven works! I have made thin crust, med crust and pan pizza. They all come out great, and very fast. I make the pizza, my husband tends to the oven, and it is fun. I haven't tried it for anything else but pizza, I would think it would be very limited due to the height. The oven inside gets very hot, what every pizza oven needs to to, and a pizza is cooked within 5-7 minutes depending on the crust thickness. We make a pizza at least once a week. I love a product that does what it says!
