Pelican Elite 150 Quart Cooler

We have transported many things across state lines from Washington to lower Arizona for several years. We have kept Razor Clams and other sea foods completely frozen for 6 days using dry ice as a coolant in this unit.It is very heavy, but then it is very large! We find we need help loading and unloading it even when empty, but well worth the effort. Like the product.

Keeps ice for 9 days. I haven't tested that part of their claims, but I've load tested it in a boat. It kept 2 people comfortable as well as kept ice all day with minimal melting. We also used it for a hurricane refrigeration backup. Worked great for the three days we needed it. It's pricey, but when you need to keep ice, there's really none better.

Was able to put 3 processed deer with enough ice to keep frozen . Keeps cold once conditioned.

Holds ice for a week and the latches are the best. So much better than the rubber ones on my Yeti and Cabelas. I use it as a refrigerator on the dock, once a week add ice.

We filled it with ice and ithad some at the end of six days in Arkansas.

I bought a Pelican 65qt 7 years ago and a 20qt 4 years ago. I have had people break a latch and I personally broke the drain on accident. Their warranty is #1 for sure no questions asked why or how they took the info from me on the coolers and sent out the replacement parts. You have to be a few bricks short a load to pay $30 to a $100 less for an ice chest that has a 1 to five year limited warranty only for so called defects. When this company has a lifetime you break it we fix it warranty along with any kind of factor defect if they ever had one.

I use this for hunting trips, Our last elk hunt and this held ice for 17 days with 14c temps in the day and about 6c at night. I have never used the cooler in the summer so I cannot comment on its ice rentention in summer.I prechill the cooler with cold water then fill the bottom with about 70lbs of block ice put my food in and then put 75lbs of ice cubes on top. It held enough meat and perishables to feed my wife 2 dogs and myself for 17 days as well.Only down sides are this thing takes about $50(100+lbs) of ice everytime you use it and its over 350lbs once its loaded with ice and food. For shorter hunts and for camping I use a dometic 12v fridge for that reason.

I purchased this cooler for week long expeditions. I have used it three times up to now, and it keeps my food cold for up to 10 days pretty easily. It is very impressive. However, I really recommend to use large ice cubes laid in the bottom of the cooler, as opposed to bags of broken ice. The large cubes last much longer. If you are looking for a cooler for expeditions, search no longer. This is it. It is very pricy, but worth every penny.

Don't be fooled, this thing is HUGE!It's not for the day trip to the beach. it will take strong men to lift it when full of beer and ice.
