Value quality - you can't beat this
I'll admit I might have a professional use for this to justify a few more dollars spent to insure quality BUTit's mainly to serve as a temporary golf crutch as I zero in my new clubs and get used to where creeks/hazards are on course. In time, it may serve shooting targets.I'll begin with WHY this one costs less than the others, as I really shopped this hard, not wanting a self indulgent expensive toy that might collect dust.CONS> warranty one year - only if you care to fill out their card, proof of purchase, no postage paid simple way to spend ten seconds> no batteries and these are very special use; not reading the "fine print" cost me 4 days waiting to use this new toy ... er golf tool + $12 (for 4)> scan mode does give ranges while panning the terrain but it seems it takes 20 seconds to activate, then only 20 seconds (also the default battery saver off timer) of use> no OFF button - 20 sec auto off ... seems odd> even sparse twigs between you and a very large target will make it read ... the twigs> unknown battery life yet> unknown weatherproof yetPROS> getting an Amazon card brought this toy/tool down to $40 ... at that price, this will drive the competition out of business> works great, as well as a fine digital camera with a clean, clear view> opticals are very good, can adjust focus on eyepiece> simple to use, data easy to get ... push, read, the end> happy user, probably even at $100 price (would be unhappy with ANY ranger over $100 as a waste of money unless I was a pro hunter guide/sniper with a dialed in scope)

Great Value
I was surprised at the performance of this rangefinder. It was the least expensive that I found, but it kept up with the more expensive rangefinder that my hunting partner had. We were sitting on a Montana hillside comparing readings, and our numbers matched for most every point we measured. Mine even went a little farther, reading out to 570 yards (using pine trees as targets). From a durability standpoint, it hasn't had to deal with much abuse yet, but it's fared well so far. It went though a week of Montana elk hunting where the weather ranged from 85°F and sunny to below freezing with rain and snow. I'll update the review if I run into any issues.

I like it though
this is my first range finder so I have no comparisons, I like it though. it seems to be pretty accurate. I ranged a pickup truck off in the distance and the reading came back at 637 yards, now how accurate of a reading it was I'm not to sure but, it was a long ways away. I think for the money this is a pretty good purchase. just a little lesson I learned a long time ago, always take the battery(s) out of electronics if you aren't going to use them for awhile. it saves the batteries and you avoid the risk of them leaking acid in your devices.

Best bang for your buck
It's made for hunting but works perfectly for a golf rangefinder! It has helped me so much with distance I've taken 3-4 strokes off my game. Only down side is the batteries that it takes, it was about $20 for a two pack, kinda bummed me out that it didn't come with the purchase. I would recommend this to a friend! Great buy for about half the cost of most golf range finders.

this is an excellent range finder so far
this is an excellent range finder so far. The description is very accurate, and has worked perfectly for what I have done with it so far. For distances up to 35 yrs. it is accurate as a tape measure. I have ranged an object across a field at 598 yrs. but had know way to check the accuracy.

For accurate placement of targets on the range
I needed a rangefinder for my trips to my local pistol and rifle range. I use steel targets that I setup myself as the range does not have permanent ones already installed. I also use paper and a rubber dummie at different distances when zeroing my rifles, usually to 100 yards, but sometimes out to 200+ yards. Using Halo XRT6 rangefinder ensures that I have the correct distance without having to step it off or estimate the yardage. Easy to use and not very expensive at all.

Got it and took it outside to get familiar with it and everything seemed good enough for what I needed
DO NOT BUY THIS!!! I'm a golfer and always wanted a range finder. I'm also cheap on some things so after reading some reviews I decided to go with the Halo XRT6. Got it and took it outside to get familiar with it and everything seemed good enough for what I needed. When I used it the first time for golf, the very first time I used it it got no reading. After 5 attempts I just hit my shot and wakes away scratching my head. The next hole I got it out again thinking there's no way it wouldn't work and I must have done something wrong. Low and behold it worked and I had no other problems that day. However the issue would pop up every now and then but always worked again after a minute or so. But now the thing only reads 53 yards and in. I've changed batteries and it's still screwed up. Of course I could only return it within the first 30 days so yeah I'm screwed. $100+ dollars down the drain. Now my golf game is a shambles because I'm not confident in my yardages with out a RF so I guess I'll drop the big bucks on a good one. Very disappointed in this product.

Not for Golf......
Day 1 this range finder is very nice. It is extremely comfortable in your hand to grip. It has an optic focuser which is nice & is very precise even on objects close in line to each other but different distances.Update: Not good for golf. This is my reason for purchasing it and after several rounds it is clear that this rangefinder cannot differentiate between the flag and the bush 40 yards behind it. So therefore it is not accurate for this use. I do not recommend this for golf use. This was given to me as a gift about a month after purchase so the 30 day return from amazon has passed. I called the manufacturer and explained the scenario and they simply said that they "do not do refunds." Bummer for sure......

Great tool
KISS. Keep It Simple Stupid. That is what this is. Got this for bow hunting. Works well. Tried it a few times golfing and it works really well. It is now doing double duty. At a two hundred yards it misses the flag but you can aim for the front of the green, the middle, and the end. For bow hunting, I am interested in distances out to 40 yards only. Great tool.

Great value for money and nicely accurate.
Very impressive for the price. Light, but strong enough. Decent case (you have to buy your own CR2 battery, no big deal) non- slip and easy to use. Checked against known distances, spot on ! Nice.

It is very expensive the company could have made a better choice.
I have only had rangefinder for a short time. It works really well. The only issue I have is the battery it uses. It is very expensive the company could have made a better choice.
