Nature's Miracle Single-Cat Self-Cleaning Litter Box (NMA500-100)

I love this product and would have given it 5 stars a month ago but it has now stopped works which is why I gave it 3 stars. My brother and sister-in-law have one and it has worked for years. I only wish mine would have too.

The gears wore down after about a year and a half on the first one I purchased. the rake was having a hard time moving. This is a replacement and I'm hoping the gears last longer on this one. Love the automatic features of this litter box.

They could make the excrement receptacle containers a little thicker. Hard to take them out without them breaking and falling apart before getting them to the trash can.UPDATE: I found that if I put 2 of the receptacles together into the slot it’s easy to take out and dump in my Janibel trash can (which is right next to it) and it doesn’t fall apart. Then I can use them again and again!

I bought this for my mother in-law who has a 15 yo cat. Unfortunately, Pretty Girl is set in her ways and refuses to use it. However, we are a family of cat lovers and I've always used Nature's Miracle cat boxes for my pets. I had two cats in a small apartment and this cat box was excellent for helping with liter clean up and odor control. I'm going to use this for my cat (9 yo) and I'm also going to buy a second one for my brother and sister in-law for their new house. Although, there are some quirks, (sometimes you have to clean the rake, etc) there are also ways around this. You can place straws around the forks of the rake to avoid any mess sticking to them. It is still a great product for pet owners and you can use any good quality clumping liter... unlike so many other brands of cat boxes. I would and will recommend Natures Miracle Cat Box to all!

So maybe if you just have one cat, and you are diligent at maintaining the box, then maybe it will work for you. But even at that, it only worked for maybe a year, then just stopped. Not good enough for the price. However, having said that, when we first got it, and it was clean and new and working and the timer programmed and everything, we loved it. But as time wears on, so does this litter box. Not worth the hassle, not worth the price.

I have given this litterbox every chance in the world. I only have one cat, so it's not like it's overworked. I figured out the recommended super hard clumping litter was just getting too clumpy, since my cat likes to urinate in exactly the same spot every time. So, I switched to crystal litter, which is what I'd been using before. And it was GREAT! ...For about a week. Then the machine started a new horror, this time, the seals on the sides wouldn't stay shut and litter would spew out the sides, making a huge mess on the floor. ON TOP OF THAT, somehow the scooper drops litter/small poo between the container unit and the box itself, making an even bigger mess under the ramp of the litter box. I'd love to keep this just for vacations but man, this is just not worth the headache. Save your money on this, and just hire a friend to come scoop your cat's litter instead. Seriously.

My first review was bad because it died after 2 months however...Natures miracle replaced my broken litter box for free!!! Very impressed, would buy again! The new multi-cat box is so quiet!! Works great!

Way inferior to the older model. Wastes HUGE amounts of litter. I should have kept the old one. It worked fine, I just can't get receptacles for it. The motor on the new one just sounds weak. But, oh hey, it has a nightlight! My cat doesn't need a night light. Save your money. Shop around. If you order from Amazon be prepared to not get what is pictured. You're going to get the old model. Which is much, much better. You just can't get the receptacles for it.UPDATE: Having used this for about a month now, my experience has not changed. This is utter garbage. I wish I could give it negative stars.UPDATE: Now it just runs constantly! The comb mechanism is falling apart. I think I'm just going to let my cat poop on the floor.

This unit replaced a worn out like item and performs perfectly.

Been using the products for many years!

Bought this for my sons cat about 4 months ago. Today he tells me that it stopped working about a month after I bought it. He's an autistic adult. I'm his caretaker. I asked him why he didn't tell me and he said he forgot. He said the scooper thing stopped moving and just clicks so he turned it off and has been scooping by hand.I'll be contacting the company/Amazon about this and update. Something like this shouldn't break after 1 month. It shouldn't even break after 4 months.

This is the worst cat box ever!!! Will not clean it poop gets caught in the rake and a lid does not always raise. Ordered two and they are both bad. Would like to return them but all ready tried them out.

This was broken out of the box, unit would not turn on... of course did not realize this until already put the littler in it, just a hassle in the end to clean litter out and re package to return, I expected better.

Motor breaks easily..does not pick up all dirty litter...motor dies quickly...litter is their brand which stays too wet...HATE IT!..I read the bad reviews and decided to try anyway..ordered a second unit before the first one broke..still in box...almost WORTHLESS, especially for teh price..DON'T BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Purchased in August and it is already broken. Makes a horrible noise when cleaning. What I received also did not look like the photo! Don't purchase!
