This tool makes tying parachute winged flies a breeze. Attach your hackle pliers to the parachute post and attach the parachute tool to the hackle pliers to apply tension. This tool is also useful for tying extended bodies. Simply tie a peice of monofilament to the back of the hook and use the tool to maintain tension. Then tie your fly onto the monofilament as if it were part of the hook. Fits all vises with a 3/8" stem. Please note that Vise, Base, Hackle Pliers and Fly are not incuded.

I don't know how I got a long with out this on my fly tying desk all these years makes tying parachute flies a breeze

Not a universal mount
Good product however the hole for mounting is not universal. It will need to be modified to fit my vise. Modification will be simple and I can do it myself therefore 3 stars

Now it works like a charm
Did not fit the vice post that I have. a drill bit too care if that. Now it works like a charm.
