Great kit - fun and challenging
This kit is great! It is definitely challenging, but not so much that you won't/can't finish. Some of the complaints I read seem off base for the price range and project. For example, the warped pieces - I had 2 pieces that didn't lay flush but just used a small clamp to hold them in place with a bit of extra glue and it layed flat and straight just fine. Or the fact that many of the pieces are "just paper" - yes most of the books are folded paper but many are photo realistic and look really good. There are many balsa wood books and the furniture is all wood/cloth. I think at the scale of 1/24 having all wood would be too heavy and not fit. The kit is step by step and has great instructions and actual size diagrams but is felxible enough that you can customize as much as you want (i printed a different pattern for the floor and arranged wall art differently. I also strategically placed some books to cover up mistakes!) Overall, it's so fun, looks impressive and I will be doing another!

Sick of puzzles? Time on your hands? You should get these miniature room kits.
In an effort to reduce the free time we were spending on screens, I purchased several miniature room build kits to do with my 16-year-old daughter in our free time. For the first phase of pandemic, puzzles were a great way to kill time without technology, and we needed something similar but felt puzzled out. Let me tell you... this was great fun! A little challenging at times - some of the pieces (especially leaves and flowers in the garden room kit) are incedibly tiny and intricate, and once you have glue hands it was very difficult to keep working on them. We started with garden room, then did a little apartment-type one from another brand, and then the bookstore/study. I would sit and cut and glue while listening to an audiobook or podcast and before I knew it, hours would have passed. I mean, I'd look down and see that I'd only built a handful of tiny items in that time, which was laughable, but it was so soothing and a great way to break from electronics and the hustle and bustle. Tips from me, basically a pro (as long as you don't zoom in on the pics, I'm totally pro-level): Pick up some krazy glue/super glue/gorilla glue and some glue sticks - the glue supplied is ok but sometimes the quick set of a thin layer of superglue is best. Also have an exacto-knife and cutting mat on hand if you have one - not necessary, but helpful. Take a look through the instructions before you start and assess what order to do things in. I also used a piece of cardboard to create sections in a shoebox so as I completed things, they could safely go into a section to dry or until we were ready to put them where they belong. If you are balking at the price tag, let me assure you they are well worth it. Even if we end up tossing the completed projects out down the line because space is limited here, we spent SO MANY HOURS on these it was absurd, and it was satisfying along the way as we pulled sections together. I really feel like miniature kits like this are great and have been telling everyone I know about them! Just get one, you'll love it!

So much fun to make and customize!
I knew I would get sucked into making this kits, and I wasn't wrong! I adored making this book shop. It was my first kit. (I immediately ordered the coffee shop when I finished it.) I ended up changing a lot due to personal preference. I like that the kit comes with glue. I didn't feel like it had enough paint. I ended up using my own paints after running out. The floor was warped which makes me need to put spacers under some of the shelves to make them line up straight. Some changes I made were: removing two shelves to make space, swapping the tiny table for a vintage stool, making less of the books that were just a box made out of paper (they looked too fake), coating anything that should be glossy (book covers, art, etc) with gloss Mod Podge, making the light removable (I feel it hangs too low), and adding lots of vintage accessories. I also styled everything differently and painted some of the furniture. Oh, and I sewed the chair cover instead of gluing it. I had to change the legs because one of the was totally different/wrong. The kit is 1:24 scale Standard dollhouses are 1:12. Keep that in mind when adding to the kit. I felt the ladder was a bit over the scale and the armchair was a bit under. I am really happy with the outcome and will be looking for a dust cover.

Worth the price and time
This was so much fun! I've never made a model before and wasn't sure if I would enjoy the process. Turns out I really enjoyed the tiny details, and loved the sense of satisfaction when I put it all together. The finished product really does look just like the picture. I was especially proud if building the working chandelier from LED bulbs and wires. This really is a high quality product and I'm very happy with the final result. However, I did take off one star for these reasons: 1. Some wood pieces were warped. I straightened them as much as I could and was able to construct the furniture, but the width of some pieces changed just enough to make it impossible to fit them all along the long wall without turning one piece sideways. 2. The batteries for the light were missing. I had to purchase my own before I could finish the piece. 3. The directions for the chandelier were a bit confusing and left out some important steps. I was able to make inferences based on the photos and successfully put it put together. Overall, I think this took about 15 hours of work. I liked it so much that I'm about to buy another kit and do it all again.

Excellent way to relax and have fun for winter!
After looking at a lot of kits I chose this one and I am thrilled! Except for the chandelier everything went together really easy, it just took time. The chandelier isn't impossible but it waa frustrating. The kit goes together nicely, the instructions are okay (go online and find a video for parts that dont make sense if you want to save yourself a headache). There was enough glue and the batteries were easy to find on Amazon. I do recommend you get a set of needle-nose pliers because the tweezers provided worked for most things but not all. I also recommend a good cutting surface, xacto knife and sharp craft scissors. If you are a perfectionist buy different paint for the walls. The brush they provide is surprisingly a good quality but the paint took 8 coats and near the end I was only painting the parts of the walls that would stick out. Actually the paint is the only thing about this kit that I didnt like.

Stress reliever!!!
I love miniatures. I got this actually as a distraction tool to avoid stress eating as part of my fitness program and this worked wonderfully. The end result was amazing too. I loved the quality and all the tiny things that I could make myself. You might butcher the first item you build because it takes a little bit to understand. For e.g I didn't realize that all the pieces for one furniture are not all In one bag or the 3-b14 doesn't mean 3 pieces of b14 or that the pieces actually are on scale on the pieces sheet and you can actually match the pieces on the sheet to make sure that you have the right piece. And all the pieces for the furniture fits in the slots, if you have to force something into a grove, you have grabbed the wrong piece. I really enjoyed making this and it kept me from stress eating

The Beauty of Sam's Study
I loved every minute of this build! This is my first miniature kit and I am gonna be getting more! Great way to unwind at the end of the day. I did a few little tweaks here and there mostly due to my own missteps. I glued part of the chair on wrong, so I added a throw blanket. I cut through the wrong part of one of the kit papers, so I had to print some of my own tiny artworks to replace them. I tried to make a tiny pillow out of spare paper but it looked more like a manila mailer, so it became an idea to Amazon lol. The wee little books are not all glued in because I think they're adorable especially the ones with turnable pages. Very detailed instructions. They even show you how to put everything on the shelves! As a person with perfectionist tendencies I truly appreciate the clear instructions. Any SPN fans will note this kit is called Sam's Study. So yes, that is a tiny picture of the family Winchester.

Great project for winter!
My adult daughter and I opened this today and were in awe of the contents. We were looking for a project to do this winter for fun. This has more pieces than we expected, but it will be amazing when completed. Lots and lots of small pieces will challenge our patiences but we love miniatures so we will enjoy the work. Working together once a week for a few hours, we figure this will take us thru most of the winter - and then we have another kit from RoWood that we can start on. This is our first time making one of these miniature rooms but the kit is so complete and the instructions look very helpful.

Hours of entertainment
I loved building this. It gave me something fairly mindless to focus on whilst snowed in. It involves A LOT of cutting, folding and gluing of tiny pieces of paper; that became tedious fast! The paint for the back walls and floor that the model comes with is poor quality (even after multiple layers it's streaky), so I did purchase some additional acrylic paint from the dollar store. The building instructions aren't great, and it's definitely one of those situations where they make more sense once you've finished, and then you realise everything you did wrong! I didn't have any major problems, though, beyond accidentally leaving off a few door handle details and a shelf because I couldn't find the pieces I needed in the giant bag of bits and pieces. The little armchair was tricky to build, and my finished product looked tatty so I didn't end up using it. The wiring for the lighting was beyond me. I spent hours stripping back wiring and joining things together, just to find I hadn't made the pieces long enough - the instructions were terrible - so my model has no lights and I'll just get a string of tiny ones from the dollar store if I decide to add them. Overall it's a fun project with an impressive end product!

So fun
My favourite part of these kits is always the tiny books that are tedious to assemble but in a good way. Took a while which is what I wanted. Loved it! Plus tge outside wall is bare so you can let your creativity run free, i made some faux-brick effect and made vines go up the walls

Assembly required! Awesome details.
More advanced than the book nook I bought my daughter. Hers sort of fit together, this one is 100% glue together. I have no patience and ADHD, bought it for myself at Christina, still working on it. I love these things and will def. Get more in the future!

Not the hardest one
This mini was good fit to the village I would say it wasn't the hardest one but was challenging. There is always one piece that isn't painted or damaged in most of these mini houses. Over all still worth it.
