Great customer support, great product - delivered data, phone, and peace of mind!
I'm so happy with this purchase! I was taking a trip to Mexico and didn't want to pay the outrageous rates for phone and data from my carrier. I did some research and came across this SIM card from this seller. I had some questions, as I'd never put a SIM card into my iPhone 5, and the communications back and forth with Vincent at Mexico SIM Card were great! He answered all my emails and questions (there were many before purchase (which size? which plan? what do the different plans mean?), and a few after) so I felt that whatever issue I might have, he would provide support. And since I waited till only a few days before my trip to seriously look into SIM cards, time was of the essence. So I'm grateful for Vincent's quick responses, and Amazon Prime! I had NO issues with the SIM card. It came with a packet of useful instructions, and a handy little tool to pop the SIM Card tray open. The card worked perfectly, and gave us the peace of mind that we could be reached by family at home, and could make calls while we were in Mexico, without any concerns. We didn't end up using it as often as we thought we would, but it was worth every cent for the times we did use it, and the knowledge that the phone was ready to go when we needed it. (We got lost on the way from our hotel to the wedding we were going to, and I was able to pull up Waze and find our way, thanks to the SIM card! And one day we needed to contact our hotel's front desk and our room phone didn't work (nor was their wifi working) - thanks again SIM card!) I highly recommend working with Vincent at Mexico SIM Card if you are traveling to Mexico!

Not worth it
Purchased this item for my trip to Puerto Vallarta MX. This item was supposed to include unlimited calling and SMS. Although I wasn’t able to make calls or texts I could only receive calls no texts. Data worked well though. If your planning a trip to Mexico it’s probably better to buy something there. Or buy a cheaper SIM card. This one isn’t worth it.

Bought this card for my wife to use in Mexico ...
Bought this card for my wife to use in Mexico. It was supposed to be activated prior to departing the US for Mexico. We followed the directions but it still had to be activated upon arrival. It worked with minutes and data but I am not sure it gave my wife 2 full GB of data. The data was gone in 1 week and she had to buy another in country. No way she used more than even 1 GB of data. We personally would not buy again.

Good Phone Service and Internet
I taught I was having a lot of problems at first. I called tel cell to verify if the SIM card works. They could not find the numbers in their system after 1 hour in the phone. I emailed the seller and they were able to guide me and I've had no problems yet. I will give it 5 stars once I reload the chip. Worked great in Mexico and internet was fast.

The other one can not make phone calls although the data works fine. I tried to call the customer service but ...
I ordered two of this SIM card for our Christmas trip to Cancun. One of the cards worked perfectly, it has access to the data and can also make phone calls. The other one can not make phone calls although the data works fine. I tried to call the customer service but the only language they have is Spanish and with some help from local Mexican people I learned that the service call end up with a voicemail that helps nothing.

Worked Perfectly In Puerto Vallarta on my Unlocked Moto G5 Plus - Loved it
We live in the U.S., had visited Puerto Vallarta 3 times over the last several years and had never used our cell phones while there unless in airplane mode connected to wifi. On our most recent visit in February 2019 I decided to give the "Telcel Mexico Prepaid SIM Card with 2.5GB Data and Unlimited Calls and SMS Universal SIM" a try since we were going with another couple who had never been there. I thought it might come in handy when we were out & about mostly for the data usage so we could use Google Maps, Google Translate, etc. Also, we were staying at an AirBnB, so I wanted to be able to call the property manager or text them if need be. I followed the directions that came with the card before we left by logging on to their website to let them know the dates we would be in Mexico. I installed their sim card on the airplane before we landed in Mexico. I first attempted to use it while we were walking through town trying to find a restaurant, it didn't work on my first attempt so I went to settings/network & internet/mobile network (which was now showing as "Telcel") and realized I had to make one click to turn on "access data using mobile network". Once I did that, it worked beautifully for both data usage and receiving or making a call. I've seen other reviews complaining that they received texts in Spanish - Hello, you're in Mexico and it's a Mexican phone company, what do you expect?! All I did was copy their texts & put them into Google translate, they were wanting me to download something (maybe it's to set-up voicemail or something like that) but I didn't bother to do it since it was working beautifully and I would only be using it for a week. Thanks, Telcel, I will use you again!
