A Great Projector at a Great Price!
We use this projector both indoors and out. The image is bright and clear. We use it for movie nights in the backyard paired with a Bluetooth speaker. We have also used it for football games on our textured cream colored walls with excellent results. For the money, it is an exceptional value. So glad we bought it!

Excellent product. No regrets. Using it regularly.
I purchased this because I have started working for a volunteer organization doing bystander intervention training. Some of the places we present have tech support and AV tools, but some presentations happen in homes, basement rooms in churches, or conference rooms in non-tech-savvy non-privileged communities and organizations. I wanted a reasonably portable and flexible projector to use with my MacBookPro in a wide variety of settings. It projects well. I can adjust for presenting at an angle, which often occurs. It allows HDMI and USB connections to my laptop. It is bright enough that I don't have to have lights off and shades pulled - though I wouldn't try it outdoors in open sunlight. It is incredibly easy to use, and quiet. As a bonus, I can use it to share photos with friends and family instead of having everyone crumpled together breathing down each other's necks. Good enough for friends and family - but it would not do for a professional photography show to customers.

Good inexpensive projector for presentations
Bought this projector to do presentations at different venues. Resolution was not a top priority but brightness was. Nice bright picture even with a lot of ambient light. Fast on and off. Lightweight. Works great for my needs.

Good Projector
Very good projector, picture is very crisp. Not perfect for how we are using it due to the fact that the brightness illuminates the whole room, but that problem is specific to how we are using it. Only real issue is that it has a "Sleep Timer" that does not work

Good bang for buck!
I own three of the vs350 xga 3300 lumen models and mostly impressed/satisfied with the preformance.I use it for business purposes... mostly a mix of moving images/ renderings and text. I played some movies to get an idea of over all quality, and have to say for the price, its pretty capable. Can you get a better picture? Sure if you want to spend $600 to a $1000, but for the price $300-$350 it is more than adequate for what we use it for.The set ups varies from location to location, but generally i project a 10-12 foot diagonal screen. The one gripe I have is text of certain small sizes get less and less legible, but thats mostly because of the size/distance I project at.Some nice features:Digital Keystone adjustment. The ability to project into corners and odd shapes.Being able to upload company logos.Despite what some people say about the operating noise, its pretty quite with eco mode enabled.

Great for movie night in the back yard
This is a great projector for movies outside and indoors (even in the day time). My only negative is that the volume sucks and there is no audio output, but I knew that from the other reviews prior to purchasing. I ended up just using a bluetooth speaker that I hook up to my device that is plugged into the projectyor

Very disappointing discovery.
Just opened the box and immediately I see a VGA to VGA cable is included. This product is advertised repeatedly in the ad as an HDMI projector. It should have an HDMI cable. I'm at the presentation with my laptop, which only has an HDMI output. So this projector is of no value to me today. What a miss for Epson. I'll update my review when I can get this projector functioning.

Good Item
I tried during the day indoors and the image was very clear and sharp. Let see if it last since I bought by Amazon Whearehouse... It's working ok so far.

Great projector
I had one unit for a year, this is a second one that I purchased for events. It is quite bright for any room, and the image is sharp. Now I have a pair and can split image. Recommend this model.

Genuine Brightness!!! Still, VGA port burnt out too fast!
------ Update: April 17, 2020Like one of the reviewers, the projector lasted only for four months, because it caused me a bit problem. I spent few hours to determine the cause.Firstly, I had used a VGA-to-VGA cable with HDMI adaptor to connect the projector to my laptop. I used the VGA end to connect to the projector and connect HDMI adaptor to my laptop. Today, four months after the purchase,, the projector no longer received the signals from both of my laptops. I tried rebooting and connecting/reconnecting. Pulling the HDMI in and out several times. No dice.A couple of hours later, I gave up on the cable. I then found another cable. This was the HDMI-to-HDMI cable with a VGA adaptor. I connected the VGA adaptor to the projector and the HDMI to the laptop. No image. Then I took out the VGA adaptor and then inserted the HDMI end to the projector and the other HDMI end to the laptop. THAT worked! So here are my findings: 1. The VGA port of the projector is burnt out and it's why it wasn't receiving the signals; 2. The VGA port died too soon. The projector is only four months old! 3. The projector's sound from the initial HDMI-to HDMI connection is actually pretty good, but I am not sure how I could transmit the sound from the projector to the home theatre system. At this time, I just have the sound outputting from my laptop to the stereo system.Well, I do hope the HDMI port lasts a lot longer than the VGA port.I was thinking of getting the 4K Firestick and let it hook up directly to the projector, but the problem is getting the firestick's sound into the stereo system. I mean, I do have a couple of amazon's dot echoS, but it's not as good as the home theatre stereo system. Hooking the projector's sound using the firestick with the stereo system will not be easy...especially if there is only one HDMI port. :-/------ Original ReviewThere are unscrupulous sellers (Caiwei) who claim their projectors to be 3900 Lumens and that its lamp lasts over 50,000 hours. Then the seller periodically hounds you to change your review and to advise you to darken the surroundings and that's right after you had returned the low quality projector..Guess what? For the same price, you could get this Epson projector and this projector is as bright as day light, maybe even more.I live on the 11th floor and my friends / neighbours told me that they could see my projector screen down on the street - incredibly bright! Some reviewers complained about the texts on the screen to be blurry, but I could read the subtitles and the computer typing - quite clearly. What I also like about this projector is that it doesn't reboot the screen display (like my old DELL projector), when I turn off the projector and then restart the projector. I.E. Changing the resolution size. Also, this Epson projector includes a software to provide you with a laptop driver. However, I didn't install the software, yet the picture / video from the laptop is shown clearly on the projector screen. This is definitely a great buy!!!

Excellent entry level business projector for small conference rooms
The VS350/VS355 is an excellent entry level business projector for small conference rooms. It has excellent Colour and White Brightness at 3300 lumens, and good contrast at 15000, which are all key for good looking presentations in bright conference rooms. The projector also has all the necessary connections you'd expect, as well as built in speaker which is fine for small presentations. That said, the resolution is only 1024 x 768 (VS350) and 1280x800 (VS355) which is fine for small conference rooms – think 12 seater board room, and no more. This resolution is 'close' to 720p, but is not, so don't get confused with that, but it's a good reference point. In fact, this resolution is very suitable for small rooms on small screens – think 50" screens. In close confines, higher resolutions projectors can make the power print a bit too small for your audiences. Same can be said for 720p vs 1080p in close confines. On small screen in close confines you'd be better off with 720p than 1080p for presentations that contain text, etc..The projector is also quite light but is not the most compact and does not come with a case which is a bit of a minus in my book, but not really a major issue. This projector, as many Epson projectors, has excellent brightness and contrast, and is the first thing you'll notice if you compare this projector to a cheaper brand projector – those images will look faded, dim and washed out in a bright boardroom, and do a complete disservice to your presentation. Nothing says mediocre like a lame washed out presentation – armature hour. On the other hand, this projector can really punch it out even in the brightest room – that's really the major differences in a good quality projector versus a lessor brand who will no doubt misreport their lumens. This projector is replacing one of those – it was 1/3 the size, but so to was it's performance. So, if you're looking for a small conference room projector, than this is defiantly worth a look. Alternatively, if you're looking for a project to use in multiple different scenarios including larger conference rooms, then you'd be better off with a 1080p, wuxga projector, or even a 4k projector if you're going to be presenting to a large forum. These higher price projectors will also do perfectly well in smaller rooms to, as they typically have adjustable resolutions, but will also cost 2-5x as much. So looking for an affordable a small conference room projector that will work well even in bright light – than this, or the Epson vs355, are really good choices. (do yourself a favour and don't bother with those no-name brands, unless you don't mind having to close the blinds and turn the lights down)Very impressed with Epson brightness and contrast – really blew our other projector out of the water – like day and night, so much so that I just tossed the other one in the garbage – was just too dim.

Simple Setup Excellent Projector
The projector was ready to use out of the box with; power cable, remote control with pointer, 2 batteries, a quick set up guide and a VGA cable. The projector is lightweight, compact an attractive design. There is no carry case so I suggest that you keep the shipping box if you plan to transport it. Amazon offers a variety of sturdy carrying cases for about $25.The unit comes with a built in lens protector versus other models come with the clumsier caps tied on. On the rear of the unit are the usual ports; VGA, Audio, Video, as well as the addition of USB and HDMI inputs. The controls on the top of the unit will allow you to full access the projector’s functions through a menu of basic and advanced settings. The remote control can also be utilized accessing same features. There is also an adjustment on the lens that allows you to also zoom in on whatever you’re viewing. These functions are also available to you on the remote itself as well as a pointer. The unit is versatile offering an added option of running a slide show from a simple USB drive plugged into the back of the projector. It took me about a minute to start up the slide show from a flash drive without looking at the guide. I simply plugged it in, the projector recognized it and after accepting the settings the slide show is up and running. This will be ideal for someone like me who owns thousands of digital photos and wishes to show them to friends and family. It also allows you to watch movies using a DVD projected on to a screen or a wall with surprisingly good resolution. This unit is a cool option for home and/or business unless you are looking to get into the higher price of home theater projectors.
