Remote Temperature Great, Bluetooth problem "resolved".
I have a 10 year-old version (MTR101) which has recently become intermittent. I have two displays, sometimes one works sometimes the other works sometimes neither so I purchased the EMR211HG as a backup/replacement. Needless to say as soon as the EMR was working so were the old MTRs. The display on the EMR is much nicer. So why the 3 stars? The EMR has a bluetooth connected display for my smartphone. Unfortunately I can't get it to work. The program was easily obtained from the Google Play Store. It appears to Pair correctly, the EMR phone icon display icon flashes while it is connecting the stays on solid indicating the pairing is complete. However, no temperature information is ever displayed. It offers a refresh and goes through the same pairing procedure but never provides any information. My smartphone is a Moto X (1st generation) running android 4.4.4 which should be okay.Revision: I tried the bluetooth connected display on my smartphone the next day with the Oregon Scientific tech support number ready to dial and surprise, the connection was made and the data nicely displayed. I have no idea what the problem was but it works well now.

Works Well Supports Multiple Outdoor Sensors
This replaces a much older, failed Oregon Scientific indoor/outdoor unit that is no longer available to purchase. It works well. I would prefer a display that had more numbers displayed - like both temperature and humidity. That data is available with the Android APP. It works with my older outdoor sensors and supports multiple outdoor sensors displaying one.

Solid indoor / outdoor weather thermometer - but the base doesn't stand up vertically on a flat surface.
This is our 2nd Oregon Scientific Weather station purchased primarily to tell us outside temps. It's easier to read than the old one - but the bottom of the device is SLANTED for no useful reason, which means you can't stand it on a flat surface easily. It is 'designed to be hung on the wall.' So I cut a slice of a wine cork and taped it to the bottom and it's working well. Anyway - good basic indoor / outdoor thermometer that fell into the hands of an idiot who designed the tilted black plastic framing around this useful product.

Bluetooth functionality is 100% fiction
As a basic temp display it is fine. Where to begin on the app. I guess it comes down to this: don't plan on any of the promised Bluetooth functionality working. At least not on Android. The app is just really bad. I was never able to get the thing to connect to my phone or my tablet. I cleared cache and tried again. I cleared data and tried again. I uninstalled and tried again. I uninstalled and restarted my phone then tried again. Then I tried all of that a dozen more times. I never saw any data from my device on the phone or tablet. The procedure to connect is awkward...you have to disassemble the device to hold a little button for a couple seconds, then click a CONNECT button on the app. It is BLUETOOTH. Why aren't we using the bluetooth pairing menus already built into the Android OS? Why does the thermometer show as connected when my phone / tablet still doesn't see it?It looks like they spent a little time on making the app look good, but never bothered to make sure it WORKED! Classic marketing driven BS. They can sell it but they can't make it work. Cart before the horse...you have nothing to sell if it doesn't work.

which has had a good reputation. I set up the "Weather at Home" ...
BUYER BEWARE!I purchased this item when my previous Weather Station stopped working after several years of continuous, accurate readings. As I live in Oregon, I opted for a product from Oregon Scientific, which has had a good reputation. I set up the "Weather at Home" in November and it seemed to work well as long as I placed the indoor station about 5-10 feet from the outdoor sensor (which meant placing the indoor station at a non-ideal site, which had not been necessary with my prior Weather Station). The feature of the blinking light for an "Ice Alert" came in handy as this was our worst winter in many years as we experienced freezing rain, sleet and the freezing of snow on the ground many days. However, yesterday, I discovered that the indoor station was not working. I assumed that it was simply that the batteries were dead, so changed out the batteries; nothing - totally blank screen; checked the polarity of the batteries to ensure they were correct and hit the reset button multiple times, but, still nothing. While the price seemed quite reasonable, a product life of only 5 months is not acceptable to me. So, in the end, I find that this product was not worth the money spent.

This one works fine, and appears to be accurate to one or ...
Replaced an older model which could not connect to the outside transmitter. This one works fine, and appears to be accurate to one or two degrees. When the outside transmitter is placed next to the device, i.e. both are measuring the same temperature, there is a varying difference of exact to 1.5 degrees. Also does not entirely agree with other internal devices in my house - of course, I don't know which device is the most accurate. Not enough difference to bother me, but enough to prevent a five star rating.

Inexpensive add-on unit.
I never saw the point in selling weather stations with multiple wireless thermo sensors. Who needs to read the temperature from 3 different places in your yard? All I wanted was a station in 2 different rooms that could tell me what the temperature was outside. I have an older Oregon Scientific weather station (BAR386A) that uses the same wireless thermo sensor as the EMR211HG. The old thermo sensor has been mounted at the side of my house for years and this model synced with it on channel 3 within minutes. I can now see the outside temperature in the kitchen with this and in the living room with the older weather station. The thermo sensor that came with this newer one is packed away as a spare, just in case the old one ever dies.
