Koldfront PACI14020HGY 14,000 BTU 115 Volt Portable Air Conditioner with 10,000 BTU Heater and InvisiMist Drain Technology

Starting with the quick delivery, (box a little beat up in shipping) all that was required was window insertion (recommend buying weather stripping to fit/fill gaps in spacer) attach water tank drainage tube (with the invisimist attachment) into exhaust tube and attach both intake & exhaust tubes. The remote attaches to the top of the unit (prevents loss when not in use). The unit runs very quietly in the backgroundThe main selling point was the "invisimist" feature. You never have to be concerned about emptying the dehumidifier water tank, the invisimist feature does it for you as needed. So many portable air conditioners state that you don't have to be concerned with the tank that the extra moisture is evacuated through the exhaust tubing. But if you read further the manual (available online) tells how the unit will shutdown when the tank is full & how to empty it.After heavy rains, I noticed the invisimist feature working & moisture coming out of the exhaust tube too. I live in a high humidity area and I have the remote set to fan on automatic (letting the unit choose fan speed) and the mode set on cool. Since the heavy rains, the unit switches to dehumidifier + cooling at night and when the temperature rises outdoors towards midday, it switches back to full air conditioner mode (plus of course, invisimist as needed).As you see, I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. We ask each other how we stood the 98F I'll keep this updated when the weather turns cold and the heating feature begins...

This Koldfront A.C. is a great portable air conditioner. This A.C. also has a heater which I'll check out in the fall. Having dual hoses with the InvisiMist allows the AC to keep running and I don't have to drain it like a different brand I had. It's quieter then the window unit that this is replacing. The functions are many. I like that I have 3 fan settings and a wide option of temperatures. I'm able to regulate this AC from day to night. The filter is easy to clean and easily slips in and out. I have 2 other AC's, Avallon is the brand name and both Avallon and Koldfront are from the same company (they look identical). All work GREAT! I just take the hoses out of the window in the fall and they are ready to go in the spring/summer.

I have a large townhouse in San Francisco, California. It doesn't usually get hot in San Francisco but since climate change, the San Francisco Bay Area has about 15 to 20 days of warm weather instead of the usual 3 to 5 days in a year. I don't like being warm, at all. So, I researched the best portable air conditioning. The Koldfront portable was one of the best recommended. I didn't find any bad reviews. I settled on the Koldfront because I wanted something large enough to cool my entire townhouse. I have been extremely pleased! Also, once I moved the unit upstairs, it cooled my place even faster throughout my townhouse all day and night.

It has two hoses but the inlet hose dose nothing as the unit still pulls the air from in side the room and the second hose just lets in hot air

I would recommend the purchase of this unit for small spaces or mobile homes , this unit cools small spaces great as well. We have not tried the heater in this unit yet so that's yet to be used in our home.

I owned a similar Koldfront portable A/C unit years ago land was very satisfied with its performance. I actually purchased this combined A/C-heater unit to use in my 2 1/2 car garage to keep our outdoor cats cool in the summertime and warm in the winter. As expected, so far it works well as a A/C in the summer, and I will repost later “as to how it works as a heater this winter.

Gave it 4 stars for now. Still remodeling and haven't used it yet. Larger than I expected. Even with the ssf specs I read. Will update later

The unit ran fine for the 5 minutes it actually worked. It seemed really powerful and was cooling my room nicely. However, I checked on the unit after 5 more minutes and it had stopped running. The remote control worked, but the indicator lights on the front of the unit were no longer lighting up. After trying everything to get it working again, I've had to contact customer support. Will update this review if I receive a new unit that works.
