Yes this is an aerosol can. If you have fine hair, you need to hold the spray arms length and spray lightly because it has a strong spray. There is a lighter version of this Aveda hair spray called "aircontrol", it goes on much lighter and softer; which is great for fine hair. Both are easy to brush out. I have fine hair and keep a can of both for options. Hope this helped.

Yes kind of. It smells so good that its like a spa treatment every time I spray it. But if my hair is already dry that day or season it can get a little stiff.
