Codeword Puzzles: 300 Puzzles, Volume 4

Codewords puzzles need to be fair. If you can have abbreviations, foreign words and multiple words it's a pointless exercise. If you apply logic and good word knowledge you should be able to solve. Naacp, ratantra, sqyd, hipto. None of recognizable. Poorly designed. Reputable puzzles eg from Times newspaper don't fudge words like this.

I find these puzzles very difficult. He runs two or three words together in places and in several places I have found words that are very uncommon, that I've never heard and had to look up in the dictionary to see if there really is such a word. Plus that, the puzzles are printed two on a page and pretty small. I would not recommend this book.

I agree with Terri K. This book has words associated with excretion, genitalia and sexual habits. Such words are not expected or welcome in the puzzles I do. This book went into the trash bin.

I bought this book as a puzzle that I could share with my 10 year old niece and quickly found out that was a HUGE MISTAKE! In the first 5 pages the words Gook, Fellated and Ejaculated were used. I had a heck of a time explaining those words to my niece. A heads-up would certainly have been in order.

Same words over and over again with the location changed and the numbers for the letters. Boring.

a great treat for ppuzzlers......large easy to read and challenging words to decipher. my only issue is the size. large size and weight makes it difficult to maneuver on your lap or anywhere else. good book if you plan to sit at the table when using it. that doesnt work for me. nees something a bit smaller and totable.

Disappointed with this book. Only 100 of the 300 puzzles have the jumbled words. My error, didn't read the cover close enough. And every puzzle has the words "jacklight" or "lumberjack". They need to come up with some new words.

I've bought other codeword puzzles that weren't as large as these. They were much easier to figure out because they were all one word rather than two or more. Also, I swear some of the words were made up as I'd never heard of them!

The others came with jumble clues in every puzzle (300) where you unscramble the letters to help with solving the whole puzzle plus 4 letters per puzzle, but this one gave jumble clues for only the last 100

I like it because it is different and more challenging than crossword puzzles

This is the fourth one I’ve bought. I love code words!!!

Decent paper and clear print. Some words kept reappearing in puzzle after puzzle, which became annoying
