Perfect replacement for our back glass sliding door, I can see where the outside facing door handle can be hard to grip but for me compared to what we previously had to do it is 10x better than. Other than that this is a nice working door handle , would be cool if it had a key and lock though.

It takes a while for me to finally fit the screw inside the plug. It could have been 5 stars but I give it a 3 because One thing is I wish the outler handle would be easier to put your hands on . It’s hard to hold the handle from outside to open. Although you don’t use the outer handle as much , sometimes when you close the door and wants to gets in from outside, the grip handle is almost flat , you don’t have enough metal to grasp on so a little hard to open from outside.

The media could not be loaded. Hello, everyone. This was a much needed part as the old patio (1975) door lock broke/rusted off. So glad they still make these. This was a very easy install, only two screws to put in and hold it in place. Comes with extra various lengths screws for a proper fit. Replacement came with a new outside flat plate, but I wanted to reuse the old Handle as it gives a better grip. I just made the original holes a little bigger, then used the included rivets. These sliding patio doors are heavy, so you need a good grip on them. I might take the old one off and paint it just to make it look nicer. Feel much more secure, since I can now once again, lock my patio door. Product is lightweight aluminium but it's very strong. This should last another 45 years. Just received and installed. Seems adequate. Made of extruded aluminum parts. Functions well. The only complaint is that the ends were fairly sharp (likely due to the cut/stamping) and left unfinished. High likelihood of future pain if not taken care of.

My daughter recently bought a condo built in 1985. Both sliding glass door latches were in need of replacement. I was fearful that because the doors were so old that the latches would no longer be available, but found them on Amazon in a few minutes. The new latches have been internally redesigned and improved and are a perfect fit and operate properly. I would have preferred them in anodized bronze instead of plain aluminum, but was pleased to get them in any color.

Did just what I wanted too do

I ordered this to replace a 13 year handle that had broken. The replacement was easy to install and took just a few screws to tighten. The only reason I didn't give the product 5 stars is because is not the same solid quality as my previously installed handle.
