Bulova was trained as a jeweler, and his expertise carried over into his watchmaking career, which began around 1911 with boudoir clocks and pocket watches, and soon evolved to include what was then one of the latest and most fashionable technological innovations: the wristwatch. Bulova introduced its first line of wristwatches in 1919. The company grew and prospered, and soon early radio and television ads were declaring, "America runs on Bulova time." In the 1950s, continuing its legacy of innovation, Bulova introduced Accutron, the first electronic watch, and the first breakthrough in timekeeping technology in over 300 years. The Accutron timing mechanism was later adapted for use by NASA computers and a Bulova timer was even placed on the moon to control transmissions of data. Bulova timepieces have kept official time aboard Air Force One and have also served as official timepieces for U.S. Olympic teams. Today, Bulova maintains its tradition of excellence in technology and design, offering a diverse collection of beautiful precision timepieces for every occasion.

`i bought this for my husby and he just loved it. He is a watch maniac and felt that, even though he has other two Bulovas, that he needed a new one. Bulova watches are so good I feel like I need to throw them to the wall so I can have an excuse to buy a new one. The last for years and years….This watch is very pretty. Size is kind of big but this is the trend today so he is thrilled.

Finally something he liked!
Just gave this watch to my 24 yr old son for Christmas. It's funny bc he guessed by the box that it was a watch and then, rather expectedly, said, "I'm probably not going to like it Mom." I was not offended and offered an exchange or the money instead while he unwrapped. Turns out he loved it! No refund necessary yay!

Nice watch
This is s nice watch; however, I ended up returning it because it was a little dull. The blue colouring does not stand out brilliantly as I had hoped it would.

Not that traditional
Don't get me wrong. Bulova made a nice watch, just not my style. The casing of the watch is a blue anodized finish similar to the number colors on the bezel.I prefer a more traditional watch. Like I said, nice watch just not my style. There should be a side view of the watch to display that blue anodized casing.
