In 1875, a young Czech immigrant named Joseph Bulova set up shop in New York City, and a legendary American watch brand was born. Bulova was trained as a jeweler, and his expertise carried over into his watchmaking career, which began around 1911 with boudoir clocks and pocket watches, and soon evolved to include what was then one of the latest and most fashionable technological innovations: the wristwatch. Bulova introduced its first line of wristwatches in 1919. The company grew and prospered, and soon early radio and television ads were declaring, "America runs on Bulova time." In the 1950s, continuing its legacy of innovation, Bulova introduced Accutron, the first electronic watch, and the first breakthrough in timekeeping technology in over 300 years. The Accutron timing mechanism was later adapted for use by NASA computers and a Bulova timer was even placed on the moon to control transmissions of data. Beautiful and economic "day-date" style watch.

If you are looking for a watch with the looks of a rolex day-date with two-tone without breaking the bank, this is the right one!PROS:- Very easy to adjust both time/date- Bracelet and face look sophisticated and unique, no like the typical rolex ripoffs around.- Very lightweight- It looks stunning under sunlight- Always gets noticed and received complimentsCONS:- Not really a con but I wish they had an automatic version of it, wouldn't mind pay a bit extra for that.- I wish the date window had magnification glass piece

:::So Much BETTER Than Seiko
I was a 40-something, lifelong, Seiko customer. Unfortunately, as much as I like Seiko's (Pulsar's) style, the past couple of watches have been very disappointing. The self winding mechanism on Seiko needs regular movement to keep sufficient charge; don't wear it for a solid day, and the watch no longer keeps time. Moreover, I have problems with condensation under the watch face on a couple of units...ENTER: Bulova.This Bulova's movements are different than Seiko, in that the detents when adjusting time/date don't have a positive "clicking" action. I hope the mechanism is long lasting...The watch itself is very classy, without bling. It's a casual dress/dress watch. I do wear it with jeans/tee shirt combination, but its better suited for business casual/dress, than it is jeans/tee shirt. Thankfully, this model eschews the current oversized watch face craze, which I dislike.The date window is a bit small, thus checking the date sometimes requires a deliberate glance. The day, and time, are very readable, however.The watch face is noticeably scratch resistant, and the band and watch case are very solid, and beautifully finished. This is a very comfortable watch, that can be worn all day; the watch never gets in the way of wrist movement. In short, it's a beautiful, finely made, quality watch. If the mechanism lasts, Bulova would have gotten itself a new, lifelong, customer.

All good except case size
Very good looking watch. Keeps time accurately. On a personal aside, everyone should figure out what size watch (mm case) looks best on their wrist. Having several watches now, 38mm is perfect for me. This one is just a little small. Otherwise great watch!

This watch is perfect!
This watch is perfect. Color, size, etc. all good. My husband has a little trouble reading the date but he needs cataract surgery so it will be ok after his surgery. The watch looks very distinguished and tasteful and will be good for casual or dress. Face is just the right size with a textured design. You won't be disappointed in this watch!

Defective bracelet
The watch is attractive but the bracelet on both the original and the replacement were defective. I could not get the pins out to shorten the length so I could not wear it. Thus I returned it..

Pros: Beautiful and impactant, day of the week is a plus, watch band is big enough but easy to adjust for small size.Cons: watch is very small, and looks like a child watch type.

Fantastic Watch excellent timekeeping and calender
Purchased as it has a good day date calendar that one can see without difficulty. A lot of watches have date so small that you need a magnifying glass to see date. Catch is very good without being over the top and stays secure but easy to remove when required.
