900358 Transformers Autobot Hitch Cover

I was surprised at the weight of this item. On the heavy side and felt durable. The face is a shiny chrome and stands out nicely against our black truck. It's rained a few times and I haven't noticed any fading, chipping or wear so far. Thanks to the other reviewer who suggested a lock as there were NO instructions included.

I needed a hitchcover for my Avalanche and since my son calls it a transformer truck I figured this was a good fit.The item arrived in 3 days and it was easy to put together - all you need is a phillips head screwdriver and a little effort. I recommend using washers on the 4 screws to be sure they hold in place. You will also need a hitch lock if you already didn't know.It looks great and now my son is waiting for Metal Star (from the Transformer name generator website) to transform. Hopefully that does not happen while I'm driving.

I was disappointed that there was no hitch pin included.

I can only give this three stars instead of five, simply because it ships as an incomplete package. After reading many of the customer reviews here, to would appear that it used to include the screws and instructions. That is no longer the case. I received mine in a completely blank OEM-style blister pack, with no labeling, no instructions, and none of the necessary screws to assemble it. It seems to be constructed well enough, with the faceplate machined from a solid block of metal, and a heavy gauge steel bracket to insert into the hitch socket. But without the screws, at the very least, it is an incomplete product. I have posted a question about what size or type of screws I should be looking for. I hope that information is available, to save some trial-and-error.EDIT: It appears that #8/32 machine screws fit. About 1/4" in length is probably ideal without the foam spacer, or 1/2" with it.

I received the Transformer Autobot Hitch very quickly. The plastic package containing the hitch cover was completely sealed. However, the screws and washers were lying all over the inside of the package and there was no anti rattle foam included. The hitch cover is impressive, heavy and good quality

I really like this hitch cover because I grew up in the 80's when Transformers came out. It has a nice finish which matches the chrome on my truck and I've received several compliments. Make sure you buy a locking hitch pin because someone will want to steal this...most likely a Decepticon lover!

I love this hitch cover. I knocked off a star because it didn't come with a way to attach it to the hitch, but no big deal I found something real quick.
