Good As advertised
These updated Halo RL560WH-R fit much better in a 5" can than the old Coopers. It also seals against the ceiling much better. They also seem to work very well with dimmers, and dim much lower than the Coopers.I am very satisified and they are easy to install, about 5-8 minutes each.My only complaint is that the price seems to have gone up about 10$ in the last week. They are worth it at $39, but if I want to get more, I may as well go to Home Depot if the price remains at $50.

faulty
I bought these for a new kitchen remodel. It took awhile before my contractor could to the work. When he went to put up the replacement lights one kept blowing and would not work. The return was refused as it had been too long. If you buy these make sure you try them right away.

I returned these
With great expectations, I ordered two of these as a trial. Even though they were nominally the same fixture, they were different in subtle ways. There were subtle diffences in the description on the packaging, for example, 3 year warranty vs. 5 year warranty. One was a newer model than the other, and, after researching it through the manufacturer, it turns out that neither one was the newest model. One worked pretty well (the older model). The other one had a short in the wiring. The crimp connector was not well-crimped. I temporarily fixed it by pulling off the crimp and twisting the wires. This newer fixture did not dim well even though it was on the same cicuit and same dimmer as the other older fixture which worked fine with this dimmer which was specifically made for these types of LED fixtures. I ended up returning these to Amazon and got the newest model at my local Home Depot.

Light is bright, but is cool white not warm white
The details on this product say it is a warm white light. It is definitely not. It is a cool white, typical of LEDs.

A good buy and easy to install
These lights are a very good replacement for the bulbs and trim rings of can lights. They seem a bit expensive, but with an average lifespan in excess of 20 years, and lower electricity use it works out to less cost, as well as less work. They are a bit brighter and more centrally directed than incandescent or CFLs. They are quite a bit whiter than incandescent as well as well. Very easy to install. If your trim rings need replacement this is an even better buy since you toss those away with this unit.

great for shallow recessed cans
These are a very good match to the Sylvania lights (LED recessed). I started doing the whole house with Sylvania. I have approximately 75 can lights. I did not realize until 1/2 way into the job that I had some shallow cans. The Sylvanias will not work. I found these and matched the light tone perfect with the Sylvania (3000K). the install easy...and look very nice.

very bright and easy to install
I can't believe I waited so long to make this upgrade. These lights are extremely bright while only consuming around 9 watts. In fact, they're a little too bright, and I just ordered a dimmer, which highlights another benefit -- they're dimmable. It's a big improvement over the old CFLs which were noisy, flickered when they came on, not dimmable, and needed to be replaced every few years.Installation seemed easy. I hired an electrician, but it took half the time he estimated. You do not need to buy/install new cans in your ceiling to use these. The springs on the sides secure these inside of existing cans.I don't know if or how the bulb could be replaced, but the package claims they'll last 22 years, so I'll worry about it then in the extremely unlikely event I still own this house.Overall, very pleased.
