No dust and great longevity
I have a vac attached to the sander and this pad works extremely well at allowing the dust to pull through. As for sanding, it does about 5 times better in quality and longevity than the paper ones that came with my Ryobi sander. It doesn't accumulate debris like a standard pad does. Using the 80 grit, I was able to sand a 90yr old solid wood door on both sides twice before it gave out. What gave out was the loop attach, not the grit, so it could have been something I did wrong like too much force. No other grit/pads wore out, so it was likely my fault. Either way I will be buying this again, or at least the 80 grit since the others are still perfect. Good job!!!

A New Horizon in Sanding
After reading a favorable review in a woodworking magazine,I ended up trying this assorted Abranet and I fell in love.Although I was satisfied and would like to highly recommendit to anybody, I thought that the prices of Abranet is rathertoo high. (That is the reason why I gave only four stars.)Luckily, however, I found that another vendor (Pro-Source Center)is selling Abranet/Autonet at much lower prices. It seems that the same or similar products are sold in theautomotive refinishing industry not as Abranet but as Autonet. However, Autonet discs are about half the price of the Amazon'sAbranet discs even including extra shipping cost from the vendor.Autonet is sold in boxes of 50 discs at around $23 compared toabout $13 per 10 discs from Amazon. (I guess it may be becausethe car repair market is way bigger than the woodworking market.)I am not 100% sure whether there exist quality difference betweenAutonet and Abranet, but I and my woodworking club members arevery happy to use Autonet for our woodworking projects at half theprice. If you are interested, take a look at the Pro-Source Center site.PS: I just found out that Autonet is now also sold at Amazon but abit more expensive than at Pro-Source Center.

Pricey if purchased on Amazon
This worked better than conventional sandpaper for me. The product I purchased was a variety pack and did not have the heavier duty sanding pads I really needed. I thought I'd try the product and see how it performed before purchasing more. I like it as it creates less dust and sanding is good. It's an abrasive, not actually sand paper as such and better than ordinary sand paper discs with less build up in my opinion. My only problem and the reason it does not have 5 stars is the price here on Amazon. The product can be purchased less expensively elsewhere so a web search is useful. I will be using the Abranet for work around my house. Give it a try!

Wow. Just Wow.
I never really thought thrice about sanding products. I have my favorites and I buy the ones that fit my sander. I do like to buy quality ones so I have actually thought twice about them. I never considered sanding as a technology though. These opened my eyes.I first read bout them when trying to find different painting methods of all things. They looked so cool, I had to try them.First, I don't have a Mirka sander with a pad with a hundred holes, just a regular old deWalt. I had read that because the hook and loop on the sander pad can stick through the Abranet discs and wear a lot faster to the point of becoming non-functional. To that end, I purchased a Mirka pad protector as well. So, I attached the pad protector and then an Abranet pad just to get started. I also attached my sander to my dust vac. I have done this before, and while the vacuum does get up quite a bit of dust, there is still a lot that gets away. Well, I am pleased and quite amazed to say that this didn't happen with the Abranet discs. The air around the project was as if I hadn't even been sanding. For kicks, I used an 80 grit disc on a desk that I had gotten off Freecycle. Nice desk, but it had about 4 unruly coats of paint of it. Usually, I would use a paint stripper for this, but I tried the 80. It stripped that paint off quite easily. It took tike, but the great part about it was there was no clogging. The disc remained at 80 grit throughout. In using them, they do seem durable and seem to last longer than regular sanding discs. The durability translated to a time savings as well as I didn't have to stop and check the grit of the disc and change it out like I would with regular sanding discs.About the only thing that is a negative is the cost. They seem to be about twice as much as a regular disc. I haven't calculated the time savings and the durability though, so this may be a push.I would definitely recommend them. I am placing this review in the 220, 150 and 80 grit discs products as those are what I have used so far.

Excelente Producto, altamente recomendable!!!!
