Great customer service
I bought these a little less then a year ago and was happy with them until the sole started to separate from the shoe. I submitted a claim to the manuf and they were awesome. Quick to reply and resolved by sending me a replacement pair. Thats quality customer service!

Great fit to pair with stocking foot waders
Bought these to go with a pair of waders.Light weight, wide enough (I usually wear a 10.5 wide). Bought these in a 12 to account for the neoprene wader feet. These fit great, drain fast and didn't cost a fortune. My son who wears an 11 also bought these in a 12 and his fit good. Mentioning that just to say you could probably get away with going +1 size above what you'd wear in a sneaker. Haven't had them long enough to have an opinion on durability, but they seem well made and should be useful for infrequent fishing trips

Positive resolution! - After one-year /about 30 trips
See update below:April 22, 2023Let see if this company stands behind their workmanship. The sole is glued onto the upper...that's it. No stitching or anything else.I emailed 8fans directly.Update April 24, 2023: 8fans customer service was quick to reply and very responsive with email communication. A+ with customer service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!They have approved and will be sending a new pair as these are still under warranty.⚠️ This may have been a one-off issue, so I will move my rating from a 1 star to 3 stars.Update April 26, 2023: The replacement boots arrived! That was extremely fast! Will I buy other 8fans products?: YES!Remember, there are no perfect products. Outstanding CS is hard to come by and heavily weighs on which brands I buy.I also own a pair of 8fans chest waders which are working out fine. The quality is far superior to the Dark Lightning brand. How these are used: I am a surf caster and walk 3-5 miles of sand on each outing.

Solid wading boots, good value
I bought these after my last boots blew out the soles (different brand) way back in the mountains of east Tennessee (I had to field repair with 550 cord to hold the soles on). I fish mostly small water, where I'm hiking as much or more than wading. Overall, they're really well constructed, and have a really sturdy feel (both in construction and in footing in rocky streams). I've only had this pair for a couple of weeks, so I can't speak to the long-term durability, but they seem well made.My only complaints are: - I'm a size 13 pretty consistently, whether it's dress shoes, running shoes, whatever. I ordered 13 and they fit great except that there is a ton of room at the toes. Not necessarily in length, but width-wise. The ankles and top of the foot fit tight and snug, but ball of my foot can wiggle back and forth. I've cinched it down as tight as possible and it's not so bad that it affects my balance or anything, but feels odd. - They don't seem to dry/drain quickly. The first time I used them, I fished up a small stream and then hiked back down about a mile and a half and other boots I've used would be mostly dry (or at least not holding water inside the shoe) after that. These actually had measurable water dump out when I took them off. I've started dumping them before hiking out, but I've never had to do that with wading boots before.Complaints aside, I'm happy with the purchase overall. Time will tell as I will be using them a time or two each week in some rough, rocky terrain, but my guess is that they'll hold up.

use these with my sock foot waders
use these with my sock foot waders for ATV Mud riding they are very comfortable you do not need to buy a size larger with tese like most boots to work with the waders

My normal hiking boots dry faster.
Out of the gates, just want to say they're a decent boot, and for the price point have a place among the other Amazon options. The padding was comfy, the loops and lace hooks were nice and sturdy, as was the construction of the sole and exterior. Two main issues:1) I am a size 13 on the dot. Whether running shoes, boots, wrestling shoes, doesn't matter, 95% of the time I wear a 13. I ordered both a 13 and a 14 in these (knowing I'll wearing neoprene wading socks with them). The 14's could rent their toe box as an efficiency in NYC. Tried on the 13's, my normal size, and even with the wading socks on (and the ankle, foot top, heel area's felt perfect and good-snug), the toe box area was noticeably large, at least for my foot (which is pretty normal (?) in wide/narrow sheme). This added just enough wobble to take a knock to the stability of these in a CO stream while trout fishing in the current.2) My only real big con with these (not going to go too hard on the large toe box, everyone's feet are different!) is that for wading shoes, so shoes that are literally built to walk in water, These took a solid 36 hrs to dry. Outside in very dry mountain air. For giggles I compared the two, and my normal hiking boots dried in the same amount of time, if not quicker. To me that's a huge glaring issue. If I'm in a remote area in a cabin/camping specifically for the purpose of wade fishing the area, I expect my shoes to be nice and dry by morning. Especially if I didn't fish the afternoon/night before. All in all, well built shoes, but the drying issue was a big problem for me, and probably pushed me to just spend the extra money for a nice pair of Orvis or Simms.

Fits comfortably wide feet (E).
These are wading boots. Thick rubber soles with a nice tread pattern and lots of appropriate holes to let water in. Easy to put on and fit the size 11 that I needed. I was doubtful about the width fit but no problem. I am currently breaking them in wearing two pairs of socks; thin, short wicking socks and Ducks Unlimited full length, woolley wicking socks. Easy to lace up and laces long enough to lace up completely and double-knot nicely. Am a previous owner of Hodgman H5s which were much heavier.Update October 11. Purchased in September this year. These boots are super comfortable but now the boot's uppers are disconnecting from the sole.. Trying Gorilla Glue to repair. Took the Hodgman boots 3 years to fall apart! Here we go again, buy cheap and you don't get lasting quality.Update October 13. Was able to get replacement as that time had not expired. Was willing to give these another try as they are so comfortable.

A quality boot, but they're not anti-slip.
These boots are a quality product and very comfortable, but they are not anti-slip as advertised. I have used them twice now in small streams that have rocky and slippery river bottom and these boots do not stop one from slipping and sliding on the river bottom. I would never wear them in the larger rivers I fish as they are not safe under foot for fast water fishing let alone slow to medium flowing water. I'm going to have to put some cleats on them or some screw in spikes to make them safe for wading. It's a shame really because they are a very nice light weight boot to walk in, just not good in a rocky, slippery river/stream.

Awesome!
Awesome, awesome, awesome! When I first opened the Amazon box, I thought, wtf: these are the first pair of footwear that I have ever bought that didn't come in a shoebox! They came in a large plastic bag! But when I took them out of the bag, I got that new shoe smell so I felt somewhat relieved. When I examined the boots, what I found was the highest quality workmanship. Not a thread out of place. Immaculate. I had bought them one size bigger than my regular shoe size and when I tried them on over my stockingfoot waders, they fit perfectly! They fit snugly with just enough room to wiggle my toes. Walking on my wood floor I could feel the softness of the rubber soles. So my advice as to sizing is go up 1 size. If you are a half size, go up a half size. I can safely say these boots are as good quality as any shoes I have ever owned, but time will tell how long they will last. My guess is because of the softness of the soles, they will be the first to go, especially if I have to do a lot of hiking in them. But that will be the tradeoff, there's always a tradeoff.Granted, I haven't waded in them yet, but I feel like these boots will last forever. Maybe I can get them resoled when the time comes. Not often do I feel this way about any product that I buy but I have become a big fan of 8fans. Niche products like this are way overpriced but when you get quality, the cost becomes more acceptable. I'm not sure if the lack of a shoe box was a calculated cost cutting measure but if it was, excellent! We create enough waste as it is.

Fantastic value!
Bought these along with the 8 Fans stocking-foot chest waders. Amazing value at this price point, the quality and craftsmanship is equal to wading boots that cost twice as much. They have a good warranty as well, and 8 Fans customer service is excellent to deal with, would highly recommend these boots and their waders for a top quality budget fishing set.As others have said, order a size up. I wear size 13 shoes, sometimes 14 if they’re a small make. Ordered a size 14 in these and they fit perfectly with the waders.

NOT DURABLE
Says DURABLE. Its not. Very disappointed. 3rd pair in 14 months. 1 bought as a gift. 2 for hubby. Husband's both fell apart within months. Gave the product the benefit of the doubt & reordered a 2nd time. 2nd pair fell apart completely within 2 months. Will not buy again. A refund is fair considering I've bought 3 pairs. Today in below zero snow conditions, a 3hr walk from the boat, the shoe came apart completely in one step with the entire bottom ripping right off. My husband fishes in very remote places and it's a good thing g he's always prepared or he would have had to walk hours in the snow in freezing temp in his socks. He does say the fit is good and that they are comfortable. It's really a shame that they literally fall apart so easily otherwise they would be a good value. It's not good value if you pay less for something to have to throw it in the garbage only 8 weeks later.Definitely should bot be described as durable.I did try to connect with the seller but every time I hit send it failed and said we're experiencing an issue please try later. I gave up after half a dozen attempts and im here posting this review instead.
