Not exclusively is this book a decent old fashioned book to add to you gathering, however it's extremely intriguing to peruse. Loaded with history, data and pictures exhibiting lettering letter sets and organizations.

Fantastic intro into the history, tools, techniques, and fonts involved in both calligraphy and hand lettering. Used my iPad to read the kindle version so I could lay tracing paper over top to practice!

There were no illustrations in the Kindle version of this book, which was extremely disappointing. This was supposed to be a step by step guide, but the lack of examples rendered it useless for that purpose.

Yeah..dont pay money for this! I got it for free with Kindle Unlimited and still feel cheated! If you're going to publish a book, even one about handwriting style, proofread your damn book! I feel like it was thrown together and not checked once for flow, readability, grammar, etc. As the principal says in Billy Madison, "we are all dumber for having listened to you." Sorry for the harshness, but they have editors for a reason...

A relatively simple book to follow for absolute beginners but very light on in terms of technique.Bought if you have never picked up a pen before.

Well. The answer is o because calligraphy is not just hand lettering and not all the hand letterings are calligraphic corms. There are many sings. Typography graphic desing and a few other disciplines which are letters that cannot be included in calligraphy.

The book is made with quality paper and the book opens flat, so you can write comfortably on each page. Each of the lessons are well written and have step by step directions.

No es lo que andaba buscando, mucha teórica y solo unas plantillas muy básicas para practicar… no es lo que yo buscaba…

Hierbei handelt es sich keinesfalls um eine tolle Anregung zum Hand-Lettering. Wer sich Inspiration und Hilfreiche Tipps verspricht, sollte zu einem anderen Buch greifen.

Je regrette de l'avoir pris en numérique. La calligraphie est expliquée, racontée agréablement et les modèles sont magnifiques. Je conseille donc la version papier.
