This is such a cute set for pretend play. I volunteer and help with little kids and this set was just adorable to have and see them play together or with their stuffed animals and dolls.

This tea set was just the perfect gift for my God-daughter's 18 inch doll. She glowed with excitement. The cups are ceramic and the napkins and tablecloth included are just wonderfully made. The basket adds to the beauty. I am wishing to get another set like this for my own doll :) Thank you so much!

My 3 year old granddaughter got hold of a miniature tea set that was stashed upon my desk. I was so afraid that she would break it due to it's size. On the contrary, she was very gentle and caring of it. So, I allowed her the chance to play. Although the set was tiny, she set a table, "poured" the tea, and had a lovely time.Ever since, I've been looking for something to gift her that was slightly larger. This tea set is the perfect size. And bonus points are given for the the nice hamper it comes in.The size of the pot, cups and saucers are just right for her little hands. The pottery is thick enough so as not to worry about breakage, unless she decides to drop the teapot off of a balcony that is....Overall, I'd say this is a rather nice set and the price is exceptional.

My daughter's Christmas Wish is to have a tea party with her dolls. To grant this wish, I'm gifting her her first "real" tea set. I don't like buying things such as this without providing her with a proper storage option, which is how I came to purchase this set. I usually post my reviews after having the product for a while, but given that some are probably looking for last minute gifts, I'm posting now and will update later if necessary.CONTENTS(1) Wicker (plastic) basket (lined in pink plaid fabric--no padding under liner)(4) tea cups(4) saucers(4) tea spoons (stores in plaid cloth stitched with storage slots)(1) Tea kettle with lid(1) sugar bowl with lid(1) creamer(1) pink plaid table cloth (matches basket lining)(4) pink plaid cloth napkins (matches basket lining)QUALITY-Porcelain stamped as follows: "Schylling: Made in China" (Schylling, Rowley, MA, Made in China-Chaozhou)-(2) of the (4) teaspoons had excess hot glue on the handle. Not just a little, a lot.-Overall the artwork looks fine.-The set arrived without any broken pieces. The flimsy plastic holders for the set did it's job, but they won't last long for long term storage.-No major issues with the weaving of the basket or the stitching of the liner. Basket handles feel secure as well as the "leather" strap for latching.-The colors match throughout the set.PROS-I love that the teaspoons have their own little matching storage pouch.-I think the basket will do serve its purpose for safekeeping. I will discourage it being placed in the toy box where it may be buried by other toys as it is too flimsy for stacking heavier things on top of it, however, placing it on a table or shelf until ready for play will keep dust and dirt out and encourage keeping the set together.CONS-Given that this set does come with a basket for storage, I think the inside protection could be better. The flimsy packing plastic is fine for shipping, but after a few times in and out it will be a hassle to hold on to. I would like to see the set update with something more durable for long term care.BOTTOM LINEOverall, I am satisfied with the purchase. I received the item as pictured, so I received what I was expecting. I recommend this set for those "special" pretend play occasions where the plastic tea set just won't do. I would purchase a different set (larger) if the purpose was for a tea party with her friends.

My granddaughter loved this!!

I bought this for my newly turned 3 year old who loves playing tea party. I mean, she has like 4 teapots already, so what was one more? Her cousin had a similar set (different color) so when I was searching for that one, I found this and it was perfect. My daughter is obsessed with pink and she likes butterflies, so perfect combo for us. The set itself is really tiny- I think each cup holds about 2 tablespoons of water, just to give you a gauge. I know porcelain is probably a bad idea for a pre-schooler, but its surprising durable so far and we have tile floors and have still managed to avert disaster. The basket is really nice and I like that it comes with a "picnic blanket" and napkins to complete the effect. I did have one of the teaspoons come apart, but it was easy to shove it back into its handle with a little glue. If you want tiny and delicate, this set is for you. If not, go plastic.

My daughter loved getting this for her birthday. The basket is plastic and sturdy.

The reviews for this product are confusing because they jumble up comments on several quite different styles of tea set. The skinny on the butterfly tea basket is this: yes, it comes as displayed, in a cute picnic box. It is absolutely tiny. The whole teapot sits easily in the palm of my child's hand. She finds this sweet but it's a bit ridiculous. There is also something wrong with the glaze on the inside of the cups. They appear as if there is a small white plastic cup sitting inside, only there isn't. I would hesitate to drink from them for sure. We may just return the set. It hasn't been easy to find what we were looking for (i.e. a normal sized ceramic tea set in a box), but I don't think my daughter will enjoy playing with this for long.
