Great little scope!
No complaints for the money - As a 1CH scope, it is well worth it. Clearly not a TEK or HP, etc but sure operates nicely and is very easy to use. The multi-function buttons keep the simplicity of operation while providing for the functions of professional scopes. The only thing I'd like to see is a better zeroing of a reference (GND, etc) signal... WHERE the horizontal line ends up on the screen *ought* to be directly across the CENTER line in the grid. That is my only technological update request.

Cool little hobby oscilloscope
This is a cool little oscilloscope at a great price. I've used it to successfully diagnose bad speakers in my wife's car. It's more of a hobby tool than professional, but thats okay and to be expected for the price. For portability I ended up buying a a 9v battery case with the appropriate power plug.It would be nice if the oscilloscope case had a battery compartment so I didn't need to do that. It could also benefit from a kickstand to keep it upright when using it on the bench but you can always rig up a DIY solution for that. All in all, its a good gadget to have for an electronics hobbyist.Update [2021-AUG-07] I've used the scope a few more times in hobby situations - checking a signal to some LEDs in a model kit I'm lighting - and it's come in handy. One thing I've noticed, though, is that this thing really doesn't like running off a 9V battery. I had used it on a fresh battery a couple months ago and it worked fine. But after sitting since then, turned off, I tried using it this week. It turned on and *seemed* to be working but wouldn't register any signal I touched the probe to. Long story short, I switched the power to a 9V AC adapter and it worked great. There was no indication earlier from the oscilloscope that the battery was low so the lesson here is that it needs a good strong source of power that meets the specs/requirements of the unit.

Descent little scope; buy from someone else
For what it is, the genuine $40-$50 JYETech DSO150 scope is a good buy. However...I would NOT buy this DSO150 oscilloscope from Nooelec. The reason is that they have not taken any care to ensure that different hardware versions of their products are not listed under the exact same amazon listing (ASIN: B079CPDVRG). This is wrong and should be flagged as an illegal listing. The JYE Tech website states Nooelec is a distributor. Additionally JYE Tech website says for the assembled version DS0150 the analog board should be 105-15006-00F with -122 software.I ordered and paid for new fully assembled DSO150.Received March 31, 2023 new fully assembled DSO150: 109-15000-00E2 main board, 109-15003-00E analog board, 109-15002-00A1 encoder board, -120 software.--Problem: Faulty DC power jack on main board. Note: this issue has been cited several times. Search "jack" in question/answers.So I requested exchange from amazon.Received April 2, 2023 Replacement assembled DSO150--Problem: ***NOT SAME PRODUCT--HAS OLD REV.D ERROR PRONE HARDWARE*** 109-15000-00E1 main board, 109-15003-00D analog board, 109-15002-00A1 encoder board, -110 software.Yes, like literally 2017 hardware. Nooelect stated "Amazon provides storage and fulfillment services and therefore we have no way to guarantee the revision of this or any other product we carry." And so why should anyone trust a Nooelect listing??? This hands-off, me-dont-care approach. And this has nothing to do with having two products under the same listing (ASIN: B079CPDVRG); moreover the rev.D has several serious hardware shortcomings that were fixed in rev.E. If the customer does not mind selecting and buying older hardware then they should have a clear purchasing option between the two versions.Amazon refunded the money because they cannot determine the hardware version of any replacements that are sent out from Nooelec. That is why this DSO150 oscilloscope should not be purchased from Nooelec. Perhaps either JYETech directly or accudiy.com as they currently accept phone calls (at least you can check to see what you will receive) and they also offer the latest analog board (109-15006-00A1).I will aggressively pursue the modification of this listing as it is false advertising to have two very different hardware versions under the same listing, especially when one hardware version has glaring design issues.Nooelect offered no attempt to rectify the issue nor did they show any moral pause for the fact that there are two different hardware version under same listing--one with KNOWN published and widely discussed problems. And since it is pre-assembled someone new that this was an old analog board. It is Nooelect's label on the box with same SKU numbers.
