Works but your mattress will slide
I've used this for quite a while now and it helps with sleep apnea, but does not cause lower back pain like using a wedge pillow does. The stress on my lower back is mitigated by my thick memory foam mattress and topper. Unfortunately with a deep mattress this foam is exposed from your mattress cover and sheets. I didn't worry until my uncle died and I took on his cat who enjoys tearing it up. I recommend they sell a cover for the wedge so it isn't so much fun for cats to destroy with a non-slio top surface. My mattress slides about 5 inches away from the headboard pretty quickly on this thing. Moving it back in position is a lot of extra effort I won't be able to do in my golden years. Great price, wonderful product but needs a anti slip cover so the mattress doesn't slide and the cat doesn't just love scratching at the foam. It has retained it's shape over years but I am not particularly heavy.

GReat quality product - wonderful for lung, reflux etc
This exact product - was shown to us and recommended by our doctor (mayo) to help with my ‘issues’. She wanted a full length wedge, as she said people tend to slide down off of pillow wedges. So we ordered a set of these for our queen size bed. The quality is great - they fit and perform perfectly. They did exactly what they’re supposed to do. I definitely slept better almost the first night. I will warn you - they take some getting used to. Give it a few weeks. We did run into one problem - my husband tends to have some edema (ankles and feet) - and these wedges made that significantly worse. The solution for that was for him to sleep with a pillow under his feet. Here are notes re our set-up experience. We have a traditional cherry bed frame - and were using a box spring under our mattress. A) i COULD have put these wedges between the box spring and the mattress - but that made the bed too high for us. B) thus, i removed the box spring - this then required bed ‘slats’ for the frame. I measured the frame width and length and determined the width minus 1/3 inch. (This would give me slats i could lay into the frame, but still wide enough to stay on the frame, even with weight which can cause slight bowing). Home Depot etc - tell the ‘person’ in lumber you need bed slats. In most cases they’ll recommend the boards to use - likely 4-6 inch wide by 1/2in thick. You’ll need sufficient boards to not quite fill the length of your bed. (Not to tight a fit - but close.) Give the rep your width measurement - they’ll cut - and you’re on your way home. BUT while you are there - buy a basic plastic ‘tarp’ (brown is nice) C) Once home, lay your slats in place. Then lay in your tarp. Staple gun or tac your tarp in place on one side - then cut to fit the rest (this will protect your new wedges and/or your mattress from rubbing tears against the wood). Lay in your wedges - put the mattress in place - you’re done.

Simple and works GREAT
This is a very simple design. I have a queen size bed, so it comes in two sections (left and right) I took it out of the packaging and left it alone for an hour to 'inflate' before I installed it. It is the right thickness and firmness to support your mattress just right. The sizing was perfect and I found the material to have a slight tackiness to it, that ought to stop the mattress from sliding. I just needed to raise the head a little bit (reflux and snoring) and this simple product did the trick. 5 stars from me.

I wish I would have gotten it sooner.
The thick end of the wedge was 5 inches, but the thin end didn't disappear to nothing. So the incline of the mattress was less than 5 inches higher at the head than the foot of the bed. I put 2x4s under the bed's feet at the head of the bed. I believe I should have gotten a 7 inch wedge. On the plus side, this helps with acid reflux and I am sleeping a lot better. It's more comfortable and easier on your back than the foam wedge pillows.

Sleep better at night
My husband has a very bad acid reflux, finally we tried this one after reading the reviews. It works, it helps him sleep better at night! We bought the 5 inch version.

Well made, worth the money
I’m so happy with this wedge. It was easy to put on, I decided to put it on top of the mattress but under the foam topper. It made the bed feel a little bit softer which is what was needed because I had been wishing for the best bed to be a bit softer. The mattress protector fit over everything, I don’t have a box spring just a 14” mattress. I laid on it and the angle was perfect, I worried that it would be difficult to get used to but it feels just right and should really help us with gerd which we both suffer from. It arrived very quickly and had no odor, I’m very happy that it is made in America, no toxic fumes. Don’t hesitate if you are on the fence Made in America

Great mattress lift for reflux
This mattress lift is great. It does what it needs to do for reflux. It is sturdy and does not sag or lose its shape.

Strong chemical smell
I bought this two years ago and att there was no smell that I could discern. Fast forward to late last year where I suddenly started noticing a strong chemical smell emanating from my cooling topper which uses several tiny fans (I’ve had this for 4 years). I assumed the smell was from the latter, but their support explained that the topper is simply passing smells along. I bought a new topper to verify and the smell was still there. My mattress is really heavy and I didn’t have enough space to move it to troubleshoot further. Fast forward again to today when I’m installing an automated mattress riser beneath my mattress and I finally identified this riser as the culprit. It didn’t smell at first, but for some reason it suddenly started off gassing a terrible chemical smell. Too bad it took me so long to identify because I’m worried about what I was inhaling. 😖 Other than that the riser seems to work well. The angle makes it more comfortable to read & watch tv, and it doesn’t lose its shape over the years.

This helped with my GERD and my husband hasn't snored since we've been sleeping on it. Liked it so much bought a second one for our bed at the lake. Didn't find it difficult to get used to sleeping on in the least. Also helped improve the bags under my eyes...bonus! Would recommend :)

Very happy with purchase - item arrived efficiently and once the two pieces were fully opened and expanded, easy to put on the bed under the mattress to give it a small degree of anti-GERD lift. Works great. Did not purchase the cover as did not feel we needed it.

I sleep extremely well with this mattress elevator. Seemingly better than before. I'm young, I don't have any issues really other than difficulties sleeping. The 5" slight incline (which feels like a lot) seems to help. But perhaps it's just because it's novel and I happen to find comfort in the incline. The science of sleeping on an incline is basically non-existant, which is tragic. It's also very soft. Too soft. It reduced the firmness of my foam mattress, unfortunately.

The foam was a softer than we wanted but they were quick and accommodating on the return. You can't ask for more.
