Balanced weight distribution, centred centre of gravity and rugged design
The Camsafe Z16 Anti-Theft Camera and 13-inch Laptop Backpack is hardy and feels very comfortable to carry. I have in it my Sony Alpha a6000 with its default 16-50mm lens and a 55-210mm lens, a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 tablet, the corresponding power cables, and some other accessories in the bag—and the bag still feels good to carry despite the combined weight. The security hook for the front compartment zippers is a little difficult to manipulate (and appropriately so, so as to deter thieves from having an easy time fishing things out), so be sure not to keep things you need to access very quickly in the front compartment. The main compartment's Velcro dividers are a little wider than the internal breadth of the bag, especially when you have some documents in the document compartment and a tablet in the sleeve. However, this lends internal structure support against crushing pressure should your bag drops from height or have something stacked on top of it, protecting the equipment within. The Velcro dividers give many interesting ways to design your custom layout to store your equipment, though it may be a little challenging to get it right when you try to adjust the long Velcro hook strips in a compartment made with Velcro loop fabric. Interestingly, despite having shove all the equipment to the bottom of the compartment (with the bag sideways, meaning to your left when you carry the bag on your back), the weight did not feel lopsided. The harness straps feel very comfortable and I did not feel the usual amount of stress if I were to carry a similar amount of weight with other bags, though the chest-level clips would definitely help to shift the weight for even better support. The A4 document compartment is a little cosy. If you are going to store only a few pieces of paper inside, I recommend that you store it in a slim A4 plastic document folder before putting the folder into the compartment for easy storage and retrieval. The two buckles below the front compartment act as a utility buckle for your tripod or even a foldable umbrella (if you want to have even weight distribution or save the side pocket for water bottle). Interestingly, the buckles used here are the same as the buckles on the back of the Pacsafe Intasafe Z250 bag which I also own, and you can "dock" the Instasafe Z250 to the Camsafe Z16 and transform them into a single body. If you have other Pacsafe bags with the same buckles, you can try your hand at docking them to form a truly unique bag system. The microfiber cloth that comes with it does not have any bag of its own. It is advisable not to leave the cloth hanging around naked, even if they're in the bag all the time. Dust and particles can stick on them, and they are one of the last things you want to have between the cloth and your camera lenses or sensor. Do find a pouch for it so as to keep it clean when stored. You can find it attached to a long hook in the front compartment, which can be detached from easily.Overall, I am satisfied with the product. The bag is rugged and feels sturdy, comfortable to carry even with a full load, and with interesting options to "dock" with other Pacsafe bags with compatible buckles, leading to creative possibilities. The challenge with using the security hook for the front compartment zippers may be something you want to take note of if you intend to use it on a daily basis and need to store or retrieve things frequently from there. Not using the security hook would defeat the purpose of it being a security hook, but the difficulty in manipulating it may frustrate those who need to unzip the compartment frequently and quickly while still wanting to have security in place when carrying the backpack.

It's well made and it fits what I need. I wish it had two pockets (one small, one large) in the front instead of one pocket and the straps. Maybe the large pocket could expand outwards.I took the backpack to a month-long trip to Morocco. Within two weeks the edge of a fabric flap designed to keep things from moving on the right hand side of the inside pockets where one keeps lenses and such, started coming apart. See picture.

It's an excellent camera bag
It's an excellent camera bag. But it's a little smaller for my husband DSLR camera and lenses. It is RFID bag. Cause when we pass the security of TSA, the scanner couldn't see the content in the bag. Thus the security guy has to recheck by hand. Furthermore, we haven't been stolen by the thefts when we traveled in Spain and Portugal. Thanks god it works!!

Great bag, too small for certain needs.
This is a very nice bag for starters, it feels sturdy and is very comfy to wear. The lock mechanisms are great and provide additional sense of security. This will fit a 13" MacBook, but with no room for padding. You can see the outline of it on the zipper side of the bag, which concerns me that if I bump into something I could break my laptop.Similarly it fits a 70-200 2.8 the same way, not a lot of padding on the zipper side and a very taut outline of mount side of the lens.So if you have a regular SLR (no battery grip) and a few smaller lenses this bag is excellent. If you are wanting to have a small bag for large lenses and a SLR with a battery grip. I recommend going with the Z25
