This razor works out far more cost effective than using disposable ones. This was the main reason I purchased this product. The handle you keep forever and you just buy a pack of 100 double sided blades seperately for about £5. What I love most about this razor, is I get the closest shave ever. My skin has never felt so smooth. Normally i have to go over my skin at least twice to get smooth skin, but this one its just once. As a first time safety razor user, it was slightly tricky to use to begin with. This razor is heavy which takes time to get used to holding. I kept thinking i was going to drop it, as the handle is small also. But I adapted to it quickly. It also takes a while to get used to using it at the correct angle. When you have the correct angle, you wont accidently nick yourself. I did a few times to begin with, but after researching how to use it properly, i dont have this problem at all anymore. Its super easy to switch the razor blades. I have the razor with the butterfly top, and it makes it much more safer to switch blades. I chose the copper colour, it is so stunning. Its like a vibrant rose gold, very feminine. Overrall this razor is very high quality and I will never go back to disposable ones!

For most of my adult life I have used disposable razors, usually of the two-blade type. I can't understand why I didn't think before of going back to the more traditional type of razor. I ordered two, a black one for home use and a chrome one for going away. Both are superb and give me a close and comfortable shave. They are slightly different in how you fit the blades (and this threw me at first). The black one opens by twisting the end of the handle, while the other one needs to have the head unscrewed to put the blade in. Both are easy to do. The little carrying box with mirror is useful and takes spare blades. As I have stated, a lovely razor and highly recommended. Great value.

This is one of the cheapest (sub €20) butterfly door razors on the internet and is available with different brand names. It is a very light razor at under 70 grams. Finish looks nice for a plated cast metal item. The shave is surprisingly nice, quite mild with any blades I used it with (Gillette 7 O’Clock and the Silver Blue, Wilkinson Sword, Lord, Dorco, Rockwell, Astra, Permasharp, Personna, Feather Hi Stainless) over a couple of months. The short handle makes the BAILI a pleasure to use. I wish this little gem was heavier and that’s my main dislike, and the cast metal may not last a lifetime, or even a few falls. It is really great value for money and probably the cheapest butterfly door razor out there.

I have been using a single blade shave for yrs. I tried all types of blades trying to avoid cuts, nicks and razor rash. I bought this because I like the butterfly design. On trying this with a good blade I shaved a totally clean nick free shave. Impressed, it must be because of the angle of the blades. Extremely good, would recommend.

This is a very good product of razor and does job very well and is very good quality and value for the money.

I gave up cartridge razors years ago. I just don't see why 5 blades in one cart does anything other than cost more and create more drag when In use. I moved to old fashioned double sided blade style and immediately loved it. Since then over the last 15 years , I have owned many top brand units in this style. Until now my favourite was still a black plastic double head type from a well known sword manufacturer and was actually fairly cheap. I gave up buying chromed fancy looking and expensive jobs when none of them were as good. I came to the conclusion it was always about the size, the weight and the amount of blade exposed which is where my old faithful always had me going back. I decided to give this one a go as I always wanted the butterfly mechanism and a nice looking chromed finish and unlike the many others I have wasted lots of cash on, this one was short handled and I figured that might be the clincher. I was right, short handle is definitely the way to go. It makes it so easy to move around and keep close control. The weight saving is also hugely noticable. Why do you think lady razors are always lightweight and stubby? Because it makes the unit feel like it's more an extension of your hand and less of a cumbersome tool. In addition I was hugely surprised at how smooth this razor is. I suspect they have got the radius of the head just right and the blade exposed perfect to do the job. I always accepted a few Knicks here and there due to the nature of the beast, but genuinely this razor has totally eliminated that, honestly I can't believe how sharp the blade seems to be just by being in a different unit. Overall, If you are on the fence you won't be disappointed. Stop paying double digits for half a dozen carts, and buy 100+ blades for under double digits and enjoy something that was always good and never really needed re-inventing.

INicely made but seemed a very aggressive shave, I found it difficult to use without nicks. I use the same blades in my Muhle razor which is fine, but I wanted a butterfly razor for ease of changing blades. Unfortunately, not for me.

The razor has some weight to it and feels nice when holding it, proper high quality razor by the look and feel of it. Changing the safety razor blades is easy and effortless. But beware the razor definitely takes some getting used to. I had a number of very small cuts the first time I used it, but then I figured out the right way to hold it and I haven't cut myself since... well at least less than I would when using a one way razor. If you are unsure what to do with it, there are good tutorials on YouTube. It's pretty easy to get used to and always having a fresh and sharp blade makes it so much easier. I definitely recommend this product.
