Dogit Jawz Waste Scooper - Dog Pooper Scooper for Easy Grass and Gravel Pick Up

I like it. It operates one handed, jaws open fairly wide, strong enough to pick up what you need to pick up, you don't need to bend over, it's light, weatherproof, and grass doesn't seem to bother it much during the clean up process (the jaws are pretty strong on mine). The only downside is the jaws can get a bit dirty especially because the teeth on this thing are pretty sharp and attract and hold onto whatever mushy item you are trying to pick up. I think it's best to store this thing outside somewhere because it retains some of the mess you pick up. But, it is very easy to just hose the thing off outside especially because it's a smooth plastic material. It does the job and seems worth the money to me. I don't yet know how long it will last, but I don't get the idea it is fragile or flimsy. I'd buy it again.

Let me just say for anyone who owns a dog, when it comes to cleaning up their waste, that is never a fun job. I saw my old neighbor using one of these and I had to research to find the perfect one. Before buying this my boyfriend used a shovel to clean up after our two big dogs, I don't know how he managed because I tried it once or twice and it was terrible. Anyways, this was a miracle for us, I actually don't mind cleaning up after them now because this opens and closes and holds the waste, I am able to fit 2-3 in each time and it is so much faster. I will say I do have some issues with the claws tearing into my grass, but it is so much better than the patches of grass missing because of the shovel.

I build my own doggie composter rather than pay for a ripoff prefab. I was picking up the poop with a small hand shovel, but had to lean down all the way to the ground, and sometimes a piece would fall off.I got this to help with my efforts and it has made a world of difference. No more leaning down. It is strong enough to pick up all pieces, even if mushy from rain if I forgot to get it right away. Maybe picks up a piece of of grass or two, but that helps the septic breakdown.I am not sure how well this will work if you are just looking to bag up your poop, but for dropping into something large like my septic composter, it's a dream.I leave it hanging outside in the elements and have had no problem. Should make it through winter and hot summers as it is sturdy plastic.

I have a decent 50x50 enclosed fence for my dogs. Before, I was shoveling poop with a shovel and considering using a bag to pick it all up since there were so many rocks that would prevent me from digging under the poop to get it. It was annoying and made my back hurt.When this scoop arrived, I was thrilled. My husband laughed and said it wouldn't work that well... He was right. It worked better than I expected! The rake on one end let's me get waste from the grass and scoop it up without pulling any grass or leaving the grass it was on messy. It's big enough to get all the waste in 1-2 scoops and easy to operate with one hand. I'm 5'5" and it's pretty good size.. I have to bend a little but not compared to scooping with a bag.A task I used to dread now is much easier with this lovely device.*I have a pitbull, coonhound and a fat bloodhound and this scoop truly fears no dog.

Love it!The single hand design is brilliant. My son, whose chore is poo-duty, doesn't complain about the awful chore anymore, due to the use of this great device. It has a very strong grip (even after us using it for the last 3 months), and is a decent height.Pro: Design is excellent, good grippers, teeth that are wide enough to ignore grass and not pull it all out like some models - but close enough so small pieces don't escape, one handed operation (so the other can have good control of the bag/bucket).Cons: I'm only 5'1" and it causes me to lean over just a bit. I would imagine that for a taller person, they'd be aggravated witht he bending involved. It also doesn't have a good way to clean it, given it's tight "jaws."I'd definitely recommend this product over ANY shovel, two handed, or "jaw" gripper I've used before.

Bought this scooper to reduce bag usage. Those plastic bags filled with poop will be forever in our landfill until science comes up with a way to decompose plastic.Anyway, this scooper worked well enough to pick up after two large and prolific poopers. It did pretty well in grass, and held a decent size poop.However, it was not easy to rinse off the inside of the scoop. If you blast it, be wary of splashback! If you don't blast it, don't expect to remove residual poop.And finally, within a few months some of the teeth started to break off. Recently I noticed it was missing a large piece of the serrated edge, making it about 50% effective to pick up poop. I just looked at my orders from past year, and found I had purchased this 1 year and 3 days ago. So this is not a long-term investment, which means more plastic for the landfill. I will buy another, because it still beats using multiple plastic bags per day, and those rake/dustpan things are not going to work in tall grass. But I don't know why they can't make one of these in metal, or at least of more durable, weather resistant material. I'd pay a premium for a lightweight, rust resistant metal version of this item.

Antes de comprarlo tenia mucha inquietud pues sentia que generaba mucha basura con las bolsas para recoger las heces.Desde el primer dia que recibi esta escoba quede fascinado. Es muy sencillo recoger las heces y tambien limpiar esta pala/escoba. La verdad es que para limpiar solo abro la pala sobre la coladera y le vierto una bandeja de agua. Muy sencillo.La verdad estoy encantado con lo funcional que es este producto. Sobre el producto perse, la verdad es que el plastico se ve bastante resistente. Llevo al menos tres semanas con el y lo dejo en la interperie. Sigue como nuevo, me parece que la calidad de este producto tambien es alta.Cumpli mi objetivo de no generar mas basura y ademas es bien comodo!
