Honestly, for what it is, it's really good. Yes, it's loud, as loud as it can be for it's size, and motion works well. No complaints. This is honestly a good product. A cheap solution for security system. Can't complain at all. Perhaps the only downside, is that I wish the battery life was longer, but I can't complain.

When this alarm arrived from Amazon I opened up the package and read the instructions regarding charging the "base unit" in the lighter outlet as a first step.Out of the box, the remote control comes with a "plastic sleeve or strip between the battery and the contacts in the remote as to not wear out the battery, basically the remote is non-powered/inactive until you pull out the plastic strip".I pulled up to a store I was going into while the base unit was first time charging, and "out of nowhere I first hear a beep and within a moment the alarm starts going off as I am still sitting in the driver seat having just parked".It is "crucial to note here that the remote was not yet paired with the unit" as well as "the remote was not powered up as the plastic strip was still in between the battery and the contacts on the remote"!I could find no way to turn the unit off being very unfamiliar with the unit, I had to actually pull it out, open my trunk and wrap it in a moving blanket and stuff it in my trunk and close the trunk and let it run out of power. I can't be 100% sure, but my recollection and feeling at the time was that the alarm went off for more than 2 minutes. After this event and the unit running out of power/turning off, I again charged the unit, then paired the remote.Unfortunately, the unit "constantly both goes off unexpectedly and randomly at various times".A couple of times as well "while I was driving I hear the unit beep which is an indication it's arming and then a moment later it's going off where I have to grab the remote and hit the button and order to turn it off"!It's been some time since I bought the unit (approximately 10 months) with no change regarding the unwanted alarms since initially receiving the product and or right out of the box.Additionally, sometimes "I will arm the alarm and when I return to the car, the alarm is disarmed mysteriously out of nowhere even though I have not disarmed it", and the battery is not dead as I can immediately arm it upon returning.I, for the most part concluded that since this unit was from Germany that the frequency of the remote control was somehow too close to remote key fobs, Wi-Fi and cell phone signals, and other signals that are in the United States that may be different frequencies in Germany and our frequencies were similar to the ones arming/disarming the unit. I did not deduce this through any testing or any pseudoscientific means but just a guess from my experience & since my remote control to lock/alarm my car sometimes seems to have an effect on the unit (arming/disarming), at times if I arm it prior to locking my car it seemingly disarms the unit.So I have been trying to make sure I lock the car first and then arm the unit, but still the end result is about a 50-50 chance of the unit arming, and a pretty good chance of the unit going off while the car is locked on a fairly regular basis. This happens in all different locations, places, so it is not specific to my driveway as an example.Unit often goes off while the car is completely unoccupied and for no reason at all. I live in a private home and have a tenant downstairs who as well informed me that he hears a faint alarm going off on a regular basis and wanted to let me know as he wasn't quite sure where it was coming from, of which of course was this car alarm.So with all of my prior experiences above being stated, the concept and the alarm itself seems good, my only issue is with the arming and disarming by some ghost-like manner.I have not seen any specific customer service number on the outside of the box. I have to find the instructions and look for something there.I am hoping that possibly the company may read this and reply with a number or email where I can contact them and or explain some troubleshooting or fixes I can do to make this alarm behave properly, and change my 1 star rating.

Worked well for 2 years, but the fob is no longer connecting to the device smoothly.It is very loud, especially when it goes off in the car. I would like to see a better fob. It is easy to accidently press the Fob and set the alarm and it go off.I won't buy another one but appreciated the 2 years that it worked.

Alarm would just go off randomly, sensor too sensitive.Was able to make a "shield" out of tape to stop it from going off randomly and only go off when motion is detected in the vehicle.

Worked fine for two weeks, now it hardly ever sets the alarm. I can be standing outside the care trying to get it to work and it doesn't. Waste of money.

The remote broke very easily and the whole alarm is now useless. The company did not replace the broken remote.

I have a Kia. Not one of the models that are easily stolen but I still worry about a break in. This is so easy to use. Plugs in the socket, charges and it's ready to use. It has a flashing blue light that's visible to a potential thief.
